Anybody else amped for this? The game looks sick.
Way to stereotype.
Way to misunderstand me. I already have those friends on PC, while I don't on PSN. I'd rather roll with the network I have rather than try to find a new one on a completely new platform, although I plan on purchasing a PS4 anyways.
And don't pretend like that stereotype doesn't exist for a reason. Online multiplayer on consoles, unless you are playing with friends, is a cesspool compared to online multiplayer on PC, and that bar is set very low to begin with.

No PC = No hype
Otherwise I'd be very interested in the game.
I don't understand why there is such little crossover on this forum between console and PC gamers...I play the titles on BOTH that I like..what a novel idea...

I don't have the money to purchase consoles and console games. If you would be so generous as to gift me some, then I too could be a console gamer.

It's not that hard to understand. People come to this forum primarily for the SC/DotA community. Those are two games that are exclusive to PC because they wouldn't work on a console. For a lot of people, SC/DotA is the only game they play.
Also, consoles are expensive, and require a TV to play them. If you live at home, or with a roommate, it can be easier and/or cheaper to play games on your computer rather than in the living room.
Ubi got a considerable track record now of doing this, quite disappointing (especially from a PC perspective).
I thought Far cry 3 looked nice.
Its all about marketing though i guess. Its such a short term view taken by these companies. I guess gamer trust is a small issue for them. I think alot of this has to do with the rise of digital downloads and buying games online. Its so easy as a gamer to buy every hyped game as soon as it comes out, but now i'm having to force myself not too, after a year of really disappointing releases. Rome 2 and Watch Dogs have been the biggest disappointments recently for me. I don't know about other guys on here, but i have probably spent £300-400 on games this year, and frankly, there are quite a few in there that i played for a few hours and then decided that they were shit. Watch dogs is among them. I think there will come a time where as PC gamers, we will have to just say enough is enough. It will take alot of self control though, as i would wager there are many out there who, like me, spend inordinate amounts of cash on games we know fairly little about. Its so easy to buy into the hype, especially when you feel like part of the scene, and the hype is everywhere.
Here is a real illustration of the problem, shown in Rome 2:
Its a shame to have to be so cynical. I really enjoy many Ubisoft games, they often have incredibly fun gameplay, but they are usually tarnished with this same old bullshit. Why can't they just practice honest (at least reasonably honest) marketing, and everyone will hate them less.
So they're gimping shit because console folks will be butthurt a PC is more powerful than their console? Isn't that like, common knowledge? When you buy a console you're just getting a PC with less power and less customization but more ease of use. Kind of comes with the territory.
I've still got a hard on for this game. Disappointing news if true. I'll keep following as it gets closer to launch but as it stands there's no way I'm not getting it day 1 because the nerd boner is too strong atm.

Welcome to the future of gaming. Sadly this shit is the norm nowadays. Got to gimp those pc releases because consoles exist despite the next gen already being worst then a several year old desktop.
It's really amazing how PC gamers are so easily 'butthurt' (for lack of a better word) about graphics being not the same as those shown in promotional material. Promotional material does not constitute a promise; on the contrary, as any marketing trick it is often a lie. Besides, aren't people supposed to play games for the gameplay of it all? Graphics are fun, but I know very few people who keep playing a bad game just because the graphics are really good.
Look at Crysis 3. Best video game graphics since Crysis 1 but very subpar gameplay. The game was in bargain bins barely two months after launch.
