I think, there is ton of value in buying Warcraft 3 RoC and TFT.
First and foremost - the solo campaign is probably the most iconic in the Warcraft franchise and you get all the good juicy parts. The story of Arthas, the rise of the scourge, the night elf/orc conflict, introduction of various popular characters. The campaigns can be both hard and easy and will vary throughout the campaign. It isn't all about building up a town, produce an army and complete objective.
When you say solo/AI games, I think the value lies is within the modding scene. People who love the game have created a giant cluster of custom games that have dictated gaming in million ways. You have TDs, survival games, strategy games, hero defences, tag games, minigames, roleplaying games, hero arenas, RPGs, and some of these you can play in solo or with friends.
If you like the Warcraft story, then there are various spin-offs stories where some have implemented the wow story and others, where modders themselves have designed the story and created it. (Custom Campaigns)
In my opinion (with consideration you don't want to play ladder), I think Warcraft 3 is the most fun when you play with friends. (LAN)

Hello all,
I have a question regarding warcraft 3 streams and casts: So far i've been enjoying SC2 professional game casts such as from Lowko and SC2HL (Youtube Channels). In the last few weeks I realized that I like the games of WC3 as well (the idea of hero based rts with usually small forces and the fantasy setting) and would like to watch some professional games - just for entertainment.
Unfortunately, I didn't find anything nearly as good as I am used to from SC2. So can you maybe recommend me some channels, which make casts in the style of Lowko or SC2HL? Should be WC3:TFT professional matches (not too old, if possible) and no self-playing-casts.
Regards, CJ

You guys have been killing it lately. So much content to stream too, it's incredible. It really does feel more and more like WC3 is coming back to life in full.
I sure as hell intend to keep on watching.
