Also I think you probably wont be going sorcs in 2 out of 4 matchups (vs ud and in mirror). Priests can heal indefinitely with lvl 2 aura for all practical purposes, so unless you need mass dispell, lvl 2 or lvl 3 aura doesnt make a big difference either. Sure in mirror you have mass breakers who would love the aura in other matchups, but in mirror there are no buffs to steal. | ||

Sentinel change is definitely good. The fact you could just tech mass hunts pinning your opponent to his with free maphack scout and creep from their base outward was just silly (with a free expansion behind it). Makes Skillmaster more viable as well but very few are going hunts at high level vs orc. Dryads are still probably the most oppressive unit in the game, only 'balanced' by a high wood cost. I think a fairly significant huntress wood cost increase and making sentinel like 50/50 with a faster upgrade speed would have been a better choice, that way you still wouldn't get a super fast expand/tech behind it like you currently do, and would make harass/wisp detonate more punishing. Transferring some of the Blacksmith's wood cost to gold would probably help Human the most. If they want to make pally attractive they should just tack on 5/10/15% magic damage reduction to devo aura. The militia nerf did very little except make it so Hu just auto veto Twisted meadows. Control magic will never used outside of FFA/4v4, just a qol change to go along with sentinel/sac skull/etc. Maps are going to dictate balance more than anything. | ||

It proves that in wc3 like a lot other games the thing that people think is op is in fact the unwillingness of people to adapt and not blindly copy strats. Then again 99% of people just like to follow something they were convinced it is strong or optimal from top players. Anyone who played the game in its prime or at least watched the game can tell you about how people complained about tower rushes in Hu vs Ne then Creolopus defended 3 tower rushes with warden and 2 archers vs defend footmans and boom people overnight stopped doing it. I guess flavor of the month is considered op. If you try to outlast hero whos sole purpose early game is pickoffs and midgame long battles with multiple entangles they will lose. In 1 2 months when people start to farm with almost to no units and start to harass elfs and this keeper is exposed to his weakness but for now I guess we "discuss" how to nerf a hero instead of how to counter hero. Fyi this game did not have single patch for 10 years and this game continued to be played proffesionally with new different strats for years before Sc2 killed it. | ||
