From Hideo Kojima (Metal Gear) and Guillermo Del Toro (Pacific Rim, El Laberinto del Fauno, Hellboy).
With Norman Reedus (The Walking Dead, The Boondock Saints) as the model for the main character !
I only have one thing to say : I AM SO FUCKING HYPED FOR THAT GAME ! The Silent Hill Franchise is so good ! The true horror game Not stupid jump scares
"Originally, we were thinking of making a game that would make you pee your pants," Kojima said at Gamescom today. But after further discussions with del Toro, Kojima said, "we are aiming for a game that will make you shit your pants."
Kojima said that he's aware that if a game is too scary, players can be turned off. Unlike horror movies and scary amusement park rides, players won't simply close their eyes and wait for the scares to be over; they'll simply stop playing.
"So be it. We don't care," Kojima said. "We are aiming for a game that will make you shit your pants. So please make sure you have a [change of clothes]." He then joked, "The limited edition [of Silent Hills] will probably include a pair of trousers."
I also want to point out that this reveal was pretty badass and a big surprise.. First off, you can download the demo in the PS4 PSN store under the title, "P.T.", which stands for "Playable Teaser". Second, they claim that this was a new horror game from a new indie company (fake). Third, after completing the demo, it shows you the cutscene with Norman Reedus' character, and voila, the title screen shows up. Not to mention there's even more hype because of the involvement with Kojima and Del Toro. So now you have a man that is good with mind fucking you and a man who has a nice background in horror films. Good combo.

Really intriguing in what Del Toro can bring in for a game.
Obligatory bashing. *evil glare*
Ok i shit myself watching the playable teaser. I cant even fullscreen it.
I'm sure the amount of jump scares will be more minimal compared to the demo. The horror aspect in Silent Hill games were well done, for the most part. I wouldn't be surprised if Del Toro is the head designer for the monsters while Kojima handles the story aspect. It will be neat to see similar monster designs from Del Toro's past movies in the game. I really do wonder if the two are writing the story together or not though.
Also wanted to point out from the link I posted earlier.
[P.T.] was an experiment in making a horror game with the Fox Engine, but it had to look like an independent developer [made the] game," he said. "So we had to drop the quality intentionally a little bit. That was the most difficult thing thus far ... if we raised the bar that high they'd think a big studio was behind it.
If that's the case, then I can't wait to see the actual game's quality.

That's why I have my doubt about kojima in this. I know he is a great director since I love zoe and mgs but I am not sure if he can really "get" silent hill.
It will be a great game I am sure, but I am worried his silent Hill will carries too much of "kojima" in it if you know what I mean.
I've watched a streamer try to finish this teaser for the past 2 days on twitch, hes about to go insane due to it. He's probably invested about 15+ hours into it, even with the help of others its impossible LOL.
