You literally cant go wrong when one of your skills is called "Decapitation" hehehe. You do have to have a taste for at least 1 of 3 things though. 1) Korean-style grinding. Game has vertical progression, no level cap, massive exp required, low drop rate on items and RNG-based upgrading (+1- +15) with risk of it breaking. Typical asian MMO stuff. 2) PvP, end-game is based around PvP, there isnt much "challenging" PvE content. 3) Professions / crafting. Its SO indepth and theres so much to do, there are leaderboards and all sorts, you end up having to commission workers, buy land, upgrade area "nodes" and manage it all just so you can begin crafting. For example if youre a fisherman, you can literally go out and build your own boat. If you like 1 or more of those things, try out this damn game.

And the grind is definitely a must. If you don't like the grind, you will kill yourself before you are viable for PvP.

I am approaching end game and I really don't agree with this so much. I mean, sure, that is a huge part of end game. But most MMOs kind of end up like that... But there is plenty of other stuff to do. Managing economy, questing for CP, and participation in guild events (and node wars are super fun). It definitely is a very grindy type game though.

The pure amount of randomness in gear progression kinda killed it for me, especially with how gear scaling works. That and having to have computer running it 24/7 was annoying as hell.

Going to be a lot more content added tomorrow with Valencia! https://www.blackdesertonline.com/news/view/163 My guild, PRX, is doing well. We were one of four groups to take a region in the first round of sieges and are totally pumped for the Valencia content.

To be honest, thats only if you don't care about being competetive. If you want to be competetive, managing the economy is following a guide. Getting CP is following (daily) guides, guild events are a grind. Node wars a are alliance-based trading and the rest is grind. So what annoys me is that all you say is true, you CAN do all that; But if you want to be competetive in any kind of way there's really only one way to do it. Everything else will leave you behind in gear and thus power. It's ultimately the reason I quit this game. Why bother if some kid that plays 24/7 is going to own me anyway even though they plays their class like ass?

What ultimately made me quit was how absurd the level of RNG is. Put in like a hundred hours of effort and was rewarded by my character actually getting weaker, lol
