Bearing in mind that odds are they won't be able to full buy next round themselves but are likely to just spend all their money anyway?

To that end, when I'm trying to learn, what I usually pay attention to the most while watching pros are: how to entry frag/work picks, how to handle 1vXs, useful smokes and flashes, how to solo defend sites, and how to play aggressively CT side to catch opponents off guard. If you need me to elaborate on any of those elements lemme know.

WarOwl did a video on working picks, but I kind of still don't get it. Let's say I pick mid on Inferno. Either they're going to go 2-2 on A and B or stack a site 1-3/4-0 and go for a retake. Standard play dictates that, say for A site, they'd defend from angles that can be held with just two people... like, I dunno, one watching wrap from library and one watching boiler/drop from graveyard...or something like that, right? But it also means I can smoke library and boiler and go for a two-pronged B take while watching the flank from that canopy near CT spawn or something. This is how I generally think it out, at least. If you could expand on this further, I'd appreciate it. Entry fragging I more or less understand: I play support going in and, if the entry's checking one spot, I'm checking something else while trying to keep him in my periphery so that, if he dies, I can see which direction the kill shot came from and go for the trade. >how to handle 1vXs I put my head between my legs and kiss my butt goodbye. Well, for real, I play it more like a DM and just constantly turn around and check everything, always assuming that some jerk is ready to trade if I kill his teammate. >smokes and flashes Yup. >how to solo defend sites Play passive; fall back and wait for team; retake. Or channel my inner Sparkles and attempt a ninja. >aggressively CT I'm generally too aggressive for my own skill (lol).

Your two-prong B approach is a valid strategy, if your two teams can trade kills (assuming the single CT takes one out), and if it's executed before you give the A CT's a chance to stop the wrap dead in its tracks. Or, you can just tec9 yolo B every round. /s

Well, there's a lot to say about that, but the first advice is to try to stay calm. Don't run around, the more people you face, the more they'll do stupid stuff and you'll be able to get easy frags. Ask about any information you can get on your opponents : last position, health, guns. Another important thing is to try to turn, let's say 1v3, into a 1v1v1v1, you don't want to plant the bomb when you're 1v3 most of the time, because they'll come at you all at once. You want to get 1 or 2 guys, and then you plant and play 1v1 or 1v2 in a good position, like pit on inferno. Be careful with your stuff, most of the time, throwing a flashbang will just give away your position and not help you. Smokes are much stronger, you can play around them.

What you always wanna do while working picks is to gain as much ground and information as you can, then think about the CT's tendencies to plan your next attack. If you've noticed that they like to rotate quickly after a single pick, back off and hit the other site. If they don't budge after a pick, use your numbers advantage to, at the very least, force a trade at another position/gain some map control and use that to your advantage. It varies map to map, opponent to opponent what the best plan of attack is so it's a little complicated to discuss without knowing the exact situation you're in. If it's something like you mentioned above, where it's on Inferno and you got a pick mid, it's always best to gain as much information as you can from there to start off unless your team's in position to capitalize and just full on take the site before the rotate comes in. So what I do is, if I get a kill mid, I'll either take it one step further and see if I can clear lane/porch/boiler completely for map control and info, or if I know they like to rotate early, I'll double back towards B and try to take out the solo CT there and secure the site. What people at lower levels tend to do is attempt to full on execute onto a site after the first pick even if the team's not in the proper position to, and they get owned by the quick rotates, especially on Inferno. On Inferno T side, if you're working picks, a lot of times you want to just reset and make the CTs overrotate then work the weaker site, but if the CTs have a tendency to not budge after a single pick then just continue to force trades or execute onto the site where you got the pick. In a situation where there are two CTs A, hit arch with the main force of your team while you have someone lurk porch, apts or banana. Arch control is highly undervalued in MM and even in pro games (in NA). That should be a huge point of contention as it secures you a massive advantage in which you can pincer the CTs on either site. However, if you're soloqueueing and your team has 0 coordination whatsoever, then all you can do is just force as many 1v1 aim duels as you can and kill as many as you can, or bait the shiz out of your team and clutch rounds like a star.

I've had the same problem several times, it has something to do with sv_pure server settings. Some corrupt file I assume since I play 100% default. always need to verify cache to fix it. Guess he was just reconnection to avoid MM cooldown.
