change your resolution back and forth

Anyone playing in ESL open next season? Anyone know what standard default match times are?

This is pretty much the solution for every UI bug in this game, except for the one where you can't get the menu up..

Is there a build-in way to watch something in slow-motion in the replays? And/or any way to rewind a bit while watching?

I seem to have a lot of questions about this game. Here are two more:
1: What exactly is the change to smoke grenade? I'm not sure I got it.
2: When a person dies with a number of grenades, do they always get dropped on the ground? And does the secondary weapon always get dropped on the ground? Because that would surprise me, and I don't know how it's determined what gets drop, if it's not the case that all gets dropped.

1. There was no change to smoke grenades? not sure what you're talking about.
2. When a person dies, 1, they drop their most power weapon (usually a primary, like AK/AWP/SMG etc), if they don't have a primary, then they drop their pistol. 2, If a person dies with a grenade in hand, that nade gets dropped, otherwise I think there was a recent change that if a person with grenades die, the most expensive nade gets dropped. Order is molotov -> smoke -> HE -> flash.

Well people where talking about smokes nerfed. It must be the timer thing then. Less delay by smokes.
Thanks for the drop on death info. Useful info to me.

it was a game bug where you could alt tab to remove all the smokes on the map; so the game had wallhacks built into it

Smokes have gotten indirectly nerfed for progamers and buffed for everyone else due to the round and bomb timer being increased for the pros and decreased for us. The shorter a round and bomb timer is, the more effective a smoke is.

I'm loving the shorter bomb timer in MM. Sucks for the pros, but for us MM heroes its one step closer to making the game feel a little more strategic.
I wish they would put in this timer for the lower half of the MM population, and use pro timers for the upper half.

Thats actually a really good idea now that I think about it.

How would you solve the problem if people with different timers play together?

Well for starters they shouldnt be playing together :p. But you can just default to the timer for whoever is higher ranked or lower ranked, based on how many players from what rank are in there. Honestly if your playing a mix like that it doesnt really matter as much. The game is lopsided anyway.
Like if the cutoff for higher and lower is DMG --> LE , players on the cusp of ranking can start getting games with lower timers, its an interesting thing to throw into the mix of the learning curve.
|
Well, I am DMG right now and I think I have never played a game where everyone was in the same skill group so I would have this problem in almost every game. They would have to show what the timer conditions are at the start of the game which is a bit silly.

It looks like something with too many variables and things to consider that its implementation would be quite impossible...
The idea is nice, but I cannot see how it could be implemented correctly without a lot of edge cases and/or complete nonsense (like someone from a lower rank playing in a game with the upper ranks timer).
