Is anyone else playing this game? It's actually quite fun, feels a bit like a unrefined Team Fortress.
You take turns each half playing the humans and the vampires. The team with the highest combined total of points between the two halves win.

It is truly a beautiful TDM game. Having played a ton of Natural Selection 1 and 2 climbing walls and biting humans was something I was familiar too. Nosgoth accomplishs an almost as fluid gameplay in terms of the innovative mechanics like NS. Since I feel like a little Introduction to the game is missing in OP i'll try to give a short overview. Disclaimer: The videos are not made by me and are taken from the thread linked later on. Nosgoth is currently in Open Beta and is and will release as a free-to-play game. As describe by the OP the game consists of two "teams". Vampires and Humans battling out a match that consists of two rounds. The Roundsystem is like CounterStrike. You will play one round as Human and one round as Vampire. The scores will add up and combine the final result of the match. Humans are divided into 4 classes at the moment: Hunter, Alchemist, Scout, Prophet. They fulfill rolls like you maybe know from TeamFortress games: Mid-Long Range, AoE, Sniper, Close-Mid Range. Every class comes besides their weaponry with special, primary and secondary skills. Those add to your arsenal and help to disable vampires or zone them out of areas. Vampires can choose between 5 classes at the moment: Reaver, Tyrann, Deciever, Sentinel, Summoner. Reaver is the assassin-type class, quick and punishing everyone who strays afar from the pack. Tyrann is the front-assault vampire charging in and knocking humans around. The Deciever can disguise and get behind enemy lines to spread terror and confusion with his skills. Sentinels are flying vampires spotting and charging down on humans to carrying them away for an easy and clean kill. The Summoner is the AoE and zoning role. He can shoot "spells" from afar to spread the humans out but is also deadly in closecombat. For detail information about the skills and aresnal of every class I recommend this link(youtube videos inside!): http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=232862429&insideModal=1 "f2p ... is it p2w?" No. It definatly is not pay to win. You can purchase every bit of arsenal with gold. Unlocking classes is possible every 5 account-level. The gold income feels okay. When losing you can expect 50 gold while winning you can end up earning around 80 gold. An average item will cost you 1350-1500 gold. While there are Boosters which are only purchasable with real-money they are dirt-cheap (3,60€ for 7days 100%exp/100%gold, 7,20€ for 30days) and the 100% ones net your teammates x1,25 exp/gold. That said you also get gear/skills while leveling your classes (every 5 level). Also it is to note that you can purchase everything available for a timeframe (7days usually) or buy it permanently. While i would love a sandbox-level to test stuff before I buy the temp-buys are still pretty neat to have. Currently some mates and me are grinding it out to participate in the ESL cups (monthly winner gets 200bucks :D) I can only highly recommend it for everyone who likes to play shooter like NS or TFC. Don't be afraid of the 3rd Person angle it doesn't feel the least bit awkward after some games (well ... zooming as scout maybe is ^^) And since there is no link in OP: Steam Link: http://steamcommunity.com/app/200110 Offical Link: http://www.nosgoth.com/about/game ESL Cup: http://play.eslgaming.com/nosgoth/global/ For ingame action you can check out streams at http://www.twitch.tv/directory/game/Nosgoth and maybe say hello if you see me up there

I'm a huge fan of shooters in general really, i just HATE the whole "codification" of shooters so anything that harks back to the oldschool style of shooter/TPS is a good thing for me exactly how i felt :D On February 13 2015 20:20 Latham wrote: I saw this being played on AngryJoe's channel. Gotta admit it looks fun, and it should be in open beta right now, right? So Free2Play for now. Yea it is free2play even tho i got pretty confused on the steam-site ^^

Newer players complain about vampires being too strong, when in actual fact, good hunters just rape the hell out of vampires. Vampires do have 1 thing in their favor, deceivers are OP like hell. A team of 4 deceivers is just basically impossible to play against

(Freeport Human team with 3 scouts 1 proph camping the fuck out of harbour ^^)

The amount of projectiles going downrange is insane. get close and get bola-ed + scout volley makes a area safe for the 3hunters to stand in. That is seriously some badass combo.you can't even do the evasion(reaver) move to walk up as a last resort, the 3hunters have explosive shots.

I heard Nosgoth is basically a stripped down version of the latest installement in LoK series or somethinig. Would be really nice to see a proper sequel some time, but I really doubt it. If nothing else because the original writer isn't around anymore afaik.
