After four years from the release of Human Revolution leaks have been shown officially announcing Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. It continues Adam Jensen's story and none of the endings are canon.
Square Enix has announced the continuation of the famous cyberpunk series Deus Ex. The new part was subtitled Mankind Divided, it will tell us about how the future society was divided into castes augmented and ordinary people. In the middle of the action will be our old friend Adam Jensen - the protagonist of the game. As in Deus Ex: Human Revolution, the events unfold in different parts of the world. For example, in Prague, Czech Republic, Jensen will have to sort things out with Victor Marchenko - an officer in the so-called Coalition of Human augmented (Augmented Rights Coalition). The choice offers two styles of play: "quiet" passage and open battle. Artificial intelligence of enemies became better than Deus Ex: Human Revolution, play, respectively, will be more difficult. Enemies travel in groups and if suspected something was wrong, summoned colleagues together to explore the dark corners. No more single dummy. In an open battle Jensen also have hard times: opponents bypass with flank attack of the entire group. Also at your disposal will go more useful implants. Now, Adam can not only see enemies through walls, but also scan them for electronics and ammunition. Hacker will allow the implant to hack turrets and computers at a distance (as in the Watch Dogs). Do you remember the blade in the hands of Jensen? In Mankind Divided is a lethal weapon will receive an alternative type of attack - Adam learned to shoot a crossbow as a blade. Fans of "noisy" passing too will be satisfied: Jensen blinds enemies smokescreen and with the help of X-ray vision shoots them from an automatic rifle. For protection from enemy fire can be briefly activated nano-shield and then bullets will bounce off the chest of Adam. In general, mechanical augmentations of Human Revolution remained untouched, but the amount of improvement has increased markedly. The plot of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided remains a mystery. Developers do not plan to migrate from a previous save of the series - solutions Human Revolution players will not have consequences, and none of the four endings Human Revolution will not canonical. For this reason, we have to say goodbye to some of their favorite characters, including and (spoiler!) Pilot Farid Malik. In one of the missions of Deus Ex: Human Revolution Farida plane was shot down on approach to the landing. Life charming pilot was in the hands of players: could repulse enemy offensive and save Malik or throw it to die at the crash site. In Deus Ex: Mankind Divided on the job we will deliver new pilot - Elias check. Developers do not plan to transfer stored from the previous part of the series - solutions Human Revolution players will not have consequences, and none of the four endings Human Revolution is not canonical. The developers promise that additional work will have an impact on the gameplay. For example, if Adam decides to cross the road bandits in the beginning of the game, then later one of the crime bosses can considerably spoil the blood of the main character, set on a group of bandits in the next story mission. Game development studio is engaged in Eidos Montreal. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided be released on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Release date will be announced later.

It is the canon continuation of Human Revolution but I guess they weren't satisfied with the endings so they revamped it all. And the game isn't DLC it is a brand new installment to Deus Ex.

in that case, can we use our endings from Human Revolution to set the plot ala the Mass Effect series or is the plot already predetermined (our Human revolution endings don't matter)?

Human Revolution endings don't matter, so your choices have no impact on Mankind Divided I suppose.

Is Cyberpunk just vaporware? Been 3 years since we heard anything about it...

You do know CDPR is busy with Witcher 3? They did relegate a small portion of their team to it but I doubt anything big is being done so far. Let CDPR finish Witcher 3 first, then we can start the wait for Cyberpunk 2077. CDPR also said recently they aren't canceling Cyberpunk 2077, and they do take four years per game so by my estimate it would be until 2018 optimistically.
I'm still sad that my PC died a few days before I was due to get Human Revolution. When it returns I shall be grinding that out, finishing Deus Ex again and sitting waiting for this feverishly

Yeah, but CDPR set up a site with a bunch of sections for updates and forums and stuff then just abandoned them a year after they announced it, and they announced it in 2013. The site hasn't been updated since January 2014, nobody's been talking about it in interviews, and there's been no promo stuff since the fantastic reveal trailer.
I wouldn't fault a lot of people for forgetting the game even is in production.

No recent updates doesn't mean the game is canceled it happened to FF Versus 13 which was renamed FFXV and now has a demo. I can understand your skepticism but there is no indication the game is canceled considering the scope of a game like Witcher 3 which is occupying almost all of CDPR's resources.
Fuck yes! I've been asking myself when they were going to announce the next Deus Ex game for the last 2 years. I hope they've been working on it in secret for the last 4 years and its ready to release this fall.

I'm not saying it is cancelled, but I'm saying that obviously they haven't invested enough time and resources into it that cancelling it would be any sort of big deal, so it's still in jeopardy until they start devoting more resources to it. If CDPR announces some other big project, it could well fall into the HL3 "always on the back burner" trap.
Anyway: I'm not happy that they're basically writing off the entirety of the first game. They could have easily gone with the Sarif end from what I'm seeing of where the story is going. Either that or they need to release another director's cut of the game with the real damn ending in it.
