They just stand there waiting to be killed. My game is literally over, if this does not disappear. Is this only me or does anyone else have this problem? If so, what shall I do? Don´t want to start again I've sometimes had enemies don't do anything at all when they are flashbanged. And sometimes pods don't move at all. But I've never had issues where it happens all the time

Forgot to say this, but some pods are most likely static by design before they are activated. After activation however, the only time enemies haven't done anything at all for me is when they have been disoriented

It went away on the next mission, but you seem to have solved the problem If rebooting counts as solving the problem, then yes Who am I kidding, 80% of computer problems can be solved like this. I actually feel pretty dumb.

It's becoming a pain in the ass actually seeing the civilians in base defence missions at night. Yea, it is a common problem, I think it happens if you bring a concealed soldier to one of these missions and switch to use them (at least that is the moment the circles disappeared for me, maybe it was just a coincidence). I was told you fix it by reloading a save game.

2 that got me irritated yesterday. Enemy Hunkers and gets a defense bonus vs my melee shinobi even when hunker should not work vs flanked attacks and melee is you standing next to them and they don't have cover.. Also Lone Wolf perk is such bull. It does not give the bonus if your characters starts 7 tiles next to ally but enemy is 7 tiles away from anyone... even with your guy moving to melee all the way there and attacking.

They dont ever move away, getting to the cache requires opening the door, so you have to yellow move to get it. This is in may, where i dont even have enough supplies to build laser rifles for everyone yet and i thought i could easily do this with 6 people. And then you have very light liberation mission where you need to get the vip from the car and 5 fucking civilians turn into faceless.

I guess one can say you got ... Xcomed! If it will make you feel better at least what cannot happen is some of the stuff from original 1994 X-com: 1. Aliens mind attack your weakest soldier from anywhere on the map and get him to Berserk. He proceeds to fire his heavy weapon into your other troops killing most of them 2. You get first retaliation mission vs Sectoids and Cyberdisks. This is at the time you maybe got laser pistols. As map loads your guy at the Skyranger exit already sees a cyberdisk. You fire all you got at it (including your grenades and heavy explosives). You kill if after losing 5 guys (out of 12 you brought). 2 turns later you figure out the map has 4 cyberdisks and a Sectoid Commander that mind controls your weakest Psi defense guys 3. You find a mission with Chrysalids. They are many and fast but fall to your superior plasma weapons as they rush towards your landing zone. You start moving forward to clear the lizardman or mutons that were with them. Suddenly on alien turn the "dead" chrysalids get up and start one shotting your troops that were near them turning your dead soldiers into more of them. As you panic and focus 100% on stopping this, the inside the UFO behind corners more chrysalids run out with their crazy run speed and one shot more of your troops. 4. You managed to survive all that, got good team in Power Armor and Heavy Plasma weapons. You even started to dabble in Psi a bit so you decided to attack an Alien base to get that Base Commander you need to find the Alien Brain commanding the alien legions. Your big tough team unloads at two breaching zones. You set everyone up and get ready to attack on next turn (common tactic for all missions so aliens spend some action points on their turn on moving and cannot use them all for overwatch fire). On alien turn you hear a whoosh sound and from darkness something flies up into one of breaching zones. You notice it turning and weaving for a split second before it goes Boom! and murders half your team instantly. From the other half, half panic or go berserks and as result drop their weapons and run into different directions (including into other aliens) or start shooting those heavy plasma into your surviving soldiers standing real close often killing them. If anyone survives the mission ends fast or you decide to retreat and try again later :D This is only part of the things X-Com and later TFTF threw at the players. Whatever nuXcom, Xcom 2 and both Long Wars do, it is not nearly as unfair

That one is solved by liberal use of smoke grenades and waiting first turn inside the Skyranger (unless you start the game by already seeing a Cyberdisc.. then you are screwed :D Also there is that fun version of turn 2, you waiting turn one in skyranger and just threw smoke grenades around. Then you exited on turn 2 and put your guys in a semicircle around the exit, all crouching and with extra time units so you can overwatch fire if some alien decides to enter smoke and into visual range. You end turn. Alien turn. You notices something flying through the air in a semicircle into the middle of your squad. You scream Alien grenade! but everyone is already dead and nobody can hear you scream :D :D

You can do 0% supply raids early on, can easily do some very light - light missions and sometimes even do the rescue missions with just a shinobi + spec. And then you get a "light" mission with 14 turns and its like this shit: They dont ever move away, getting to the cache requires opening the door, so you have to yellow move to get it. Yeah, I think every once in a while they have pods come way too close together, making it a pain in the ass. In every non-timed mission with a lot of enemies, I end up spending a good ammount of time running around trying to figure out how the heck do I start a fight without 4 pods converging on me instantly.
