The music, ambiance, setting, it's all great. The quests are actually interesting and keep me wanting to come back and finish more (this is something I've almost never felt for WoW since TBC). Smaller-scale story telling, Blizzard seems to have stepped it up. The only content that I can really say is comparable in quality and enjoyment is Outland, Northrend, and Gilneas.

Agree, I am actually enjoying it so much I am going to probably level multiple characters on both sides before M+ and raid releases. After I a spam some M0's this weekend to get the main character I plan on playing upto max gear ofc.

Here is a multibillion$ company still stuck with 20 year old code spaghetti. Every run of the mill cheap asia mmo has a proper auction house in place for consumable materials, yet here we are still searching through 50 pages for stacks of 1 ore in 2018, overloading the servers.

And the guild tab not updating properly and people vanishing from it on and off is not a legacy backend problem. Never had the issue before their new 'community' interface.

It's not just the AH, it's realm performance in general. Silvermoon performs really badly - a lot of abilities lag by 300 milliseconds seemingly at random out in the world, some abilities and azerite traits don't work properly for the lag (like the fel rush azerite trait demon which lands late and in the wrong place or even completely fails to activate). EB has to tick 15 times, sometimes it takes 1 second per tick instead of 0.15 seconds and you're just stuck in the animation unable to move for the whole time as a group of mobs autoattack you to death. As soon as you go into a dungeon you have 15 ping again and it works flawlessly, every time. The world servers can be going up and down like a yoyo and people in m+ won't notice. This server lag (sometimes light, sometimes making the game borderline unplayable but always present on high pop servers) since i came back after cataclysm (6.0 patch) is a huge part of why i enjoy dungeon gameplay a lot more than open world and raids. That's also around the time that they started doing the cross realm and sharding stuff, so it may be related.

No wonder it has issues during big launches. This is not a new problem that only now showed up. Its years old, they have just been ignoring it.

Also have to mention that I faction changed and went from blood elf to night elf. Shadowmeld is my favorite thing ever. I don't know why I find it so satisfying but I really love aggro drop and missed it as a monk.

My friend plays alliance and he convinced me to faction swap to play with him. Feels really weird being alliance, but this expansion sure does make it easier than it otherwise would be. Sylvanas, you are clearly being corrupted by N'zoth or something, so I'll give you a pass depending on how things go.

Pain gen was decoupled from damage taken so they no longer generate terrible pain unless they're tanking a mythic raid boss and they don't have incentive to lower their max HP and leave mitigation down to get more damage/threat/healing any more (Enemies hitting for 30% of your max HP would give you way more resources than hitting you for 15% of your max hp, so equipping stam trinkets and having more mitigation uptime would actually lower your DPS/threat/HPS throughout Legion). Most of their healing is now recent-damage-taken or %hp based (whichever is greater) so Stamina is a good stat overall now as it should be. The ingame soul tracker was fixed after a whole expansion of being broken. With the improved resource gen and responsiveness it feels like a pretty fun tank spec instead of arguably the most clunky spec in the game with laggy/inconsistent souls and resource starvation. I haven't had major troubles with threat as either DPS or Tank, when issues came up it was always due to another tank being both bad and undergeared at the same time. They don't have a free pass to hold threat any more so you need gear and/or the right knowledge to do pulls + utilize threat gens properly to stay ahead of geared and skilled DPS

Resource generation has been dramatically overhauled for both souls and pain - the souls seem faster and more responsive, fracture was remade to be a pain and soul generator on a short cooldown instead of a pain spender. Does this mean you don't have to mash it (or anything?) anymore? But rather just watch for timings like most tanking classes? Sounds nice, my DH tank was high on my list when I eventually get to leveling, all these changes sound nice.
