Had a group that just couldn't deal with VoW +11 secnd boss. Had Mogus and Faceless, and mogus don't come to you with the corner strat, and they proc volcanic, and faceless has 2 casters on both side. Was tanking this one and felt kinda powerless about that. First time I've had people giving up on a boss in a non Tyrannical week. Then had a group insta disband over wipes on Naga boss in EoA. Was dps'ing here. Healer and Tank just couldn't avoid Volcanic there. I know it's hartd to see them on this fight, and they're even almost invisible on the ground patches, but common

I had the same thing happen to my freshly dinged warrior, did some content with him and next week after reset he gets a legendary from the mythic chest. I'm quite sure now that the chances for the first legendary to drop is greatly increased compared to when my I leveled my main and my 1st alt 3 months ago.

Some boss models are large enough that even melee are counted as being far enough distance. And some things like the shades on last boss COS create them

Yesterday did Azuna quests and upon opening my Court of Farondis emissary crate I got the legendary time warp ring. The cumulative bad luck protection was not active at launch so yes its considerably faster now compared to then.

They did announce in 7.1 that the droprate was increased for characters that didn't have a legendary yet, but no number for how much

Its what caused the gap where people had 2 legendaries where almost everyone else had 0, despite grinding just as much. wowhead hotfix september 15th Identified and fixed an issue that could cause Legion legendary items to drop more frequently than intended if a player had already received their first legendary. Don't have a direct source from when it got turned on because Blizzard has taken the stance of not talking about anything related to legendaries until the players pressure them into it (this bug, the 4 legendary soft cap ect).

Kinda doubt bad luck protection is that relevant for characters that just dinged 110. Should just be RNG. Fwiw my smurf is 2 weeks old and has no legendary. :D Well and main character last legendary was more than a month ago while being super active.
