I did about 8-9 bosses NH heroic on week 1 including Gul'dan entirely with PUG raids but i'm 3/9 hc on TOS right now, 100% guild raids. In both instances i think there are a bunch of bosses that will trip people up week 1 if they're not prepared. A few months for experience (and gear, but mostly experience ) and a lot more people will be able to do them without being in an "elite" guild.
There have been a few game breaking issues, actually:
#1 - Bug that causes the wall to respawn after Harjatan and lock you out of any further bosses until you get somebody to bring their alt, give you a new instance and reclear every boss; that's cost us several hours.
#2 - The server has also been choking hard since release day - at a good time the ping is around 50-200ms but during raid time we make a pull and suddenly every spell takes 300-5000ms to register on the server side. Half of our raid has 600k DPS on the pull instead of 2 million and it made the game unplayable for about 1/3'rd of our raid hours

Or at least if you got there before the hotfix this morning, according to this thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/wow/comments/6j55o3/bug_with_portal_to_kj_boss_roomspaceship/
Btw I felt you can do 6/9 while ignoring most mechanics, just with the help of gear.

There were a few on bosses 4-5 that were causing personal deaths and raid wipes easily
this is one: https://i.redd.it/i5lba7mqn25z.png
others would be mainly the moon debuff paired with "minor" mechanics failures on sisters (personal deaths due to having several times more stacks than appropriate) and this thing - http://www.wowhead.com/spell=233263/embrace-of-the-eclipse - the damage and healing shields - that just oneshot the whole raid on most pulls.
I think that those are and should be easy to handle for solid mythic players but they're not the target audience. The tuning is otherwise not particularly hard and many bosses die quickly, just mechanics that have to get done or 5-10 people will instantly die and you're not killing the boss today

hahahahahha looking at that picture i only now realize i may have caused my raid to take more damage than necessary because i took 100% of the burdens and still soaked from time to time. no one said anything though..

With the moon debuff it is kinda what I mean, never knew what that one does but did not seem to matter. Sometimes I randomly moved to the other side of the room and that seemed to be it. Then again it is probably the privilege of the healer that you can get away more often with not knowing mechanics. You dodge some stuff on the ground, fill up some bars and that is it as long as it is not mythic.
Btw thinking about it, KJ is a boss that will wipe PUG (an none PUG) raids for a long time no matter the gear. So many things that will just wipe you if not played correctly.

They increase the amount of damage that you take from either shadow or arcane by x%, stacking. If it's really high then a lot of avoidable and unavoidable fight mechanics will start to cause crazy health spikes and oneshots.
guides generally said to reset it around 5-10 but i was having to yell at people to go reset because they had 22 stacks for a while

Can probably deal with it when people do mechanics, it just multiplies any failures to the point where wipes happen

Am I totally missing something about the moon stacks? Is there a downside to clearing stacks early if you don't have the moon burn debuff?
I feel like the conventional advice should be clear when you can if you don't have the debuff, and absolutely clear if it's about to be new moon/full moon.

It does a bit of damage i think but i found very little reason not to reset at 5-10 every time

There was supposed to be a debuff on Heroic that increases the damage from clearing your stacks but it seems to have gotten removed. I assume it will still be there on Mythic.

I found Sisters of the Moon to be a pretty fight but the moon / shadow mechanics was very minor, even in Heroic. The only "difficult" part of the fight for us was the healing absorb spells on everyone you need to clear fast enough. Had to switch to MW so we had 5 healers for our 30 man group.

honestly the worst thing about SOTM is how much it kills our FPS
7.2.5. has been pretty awful in general, i tend to get 20-30 in the DH class hall compared to 70+ everywhere else

WoW in general has been adding a lot of inefficient CPU-heavy effects that you can't disable for a while
damn raiding with "35ms" ping which is actually 200-800ms because of server choking is annoying, got some more bosses down tho

We're 8/9 Heroic now, probably killing KJ tomorrow ( saw the last phase twice already )
Anyone else noticed how much of this raid mechanics are : share the damage of this ability and soak the puddle everywhere ? Man did they used that a lot for this raid.

ToS just feels like a mess of mechanics tbh

I wonder how Sisters are going to be on Mythic. I couldn't tell any of the purple debuffs apart on hc and just worked with timers and hope.

Honestly TOS looks pretty gorgeous but the fights are pretty uninspired. KJ feels like just a bunch of random shit thrown together on heroic.

award for most unnecessary change of 7.2.5. goes to m+ getting buffed
