Is it really ? I logged in after like a month and a half (still like 908 ilevel) and sitting at 1 level of Concordance and did a quick 11. Was a breeze. I dont even remember paying attention to the second affix I just remember it being volcanic.

You need a +15 this week for the weekly chest, and a lot of people never bothered to do more than a +10.
People doing a 15 for the first time + Tyrannical week + Mythicplus damage buffs
This leads to a pretty frustrating week.

It was a little weird that they made it so much harder while nerfing the loot at the same time
M+ has also seen some relative AP reductions and sucks as an AP source now
Come next week when we're getting base 915's it'll be good to farm for a while but it's shifted from being highly incentivized content to being overshadowed by the weekly reset stuff.
I think that's okay but right now we don't go from Mythic progress to heroic farm clear to weekly chest to m+ farm, we actually do a truckload of trivial content first like world quests with 100ilvl overgear and LFR from last tier because it's worth more for your time; i don't like that. Difficulty matching reward is the way forward.
I went 12+2, 14+2, 16 cleared on first tries this week with 2 pugs, it's not bad for Mythic raiders. It will trip up "mythic" raiders tho, that tyrannical is nasty
I did notice that the dungeons have been improved a lot. Volcanic has been reworked and barely spawns, doesn't seem to target me on melee as much if at all and many of the worst things that spammed them at you won't spawn them any more. The last boss of COS is among many with slight reworks to mechanics and visuals, he used to be one of the hardest tyrannical bosses but now you can easily see and dodge the charges without bugging the boss or stacking runspeed and his shades went from spawning 100 volcanos to spawning 0

90% of my m+ runs have been 0 or 2 items, so im looking forward to getting 5 or more every time actually

Before the previous M+ reform when +12 or +15 was the highest you had to do (Emerald Nightmare times) most people in my guild did not do that either (right after they raised the cap). And that guild was raiding mythic. I think it is still easier than it was back then. Also new raid just opened and equip will improve quickly now. Although to be fair affix this week are quite easy, might be different with cancer affixes.

I found +15 before the M+ rework was significantly easier, even in worse gear.
Current way it scales makes +15 much harder, even with better gear its equivalent to like a +21/22 before they squished them down.

It's about equivelant to a 19 i think, we have a bit better gear but not much ('bout 5% for me)
right now 10 feels rly easy for me, 15 needs serious play and 20 would be very difficult to complete at all

Heroic Kil'Jaeden down !
Super messy kill, our two retpal finished him under immunities at the very end. I guess karma rewarded one of them, he bonus rolled a 950 socketted Scepter of Betrayal.

Also killed Kj today with a pug. We killed it on the try i randomly did not press sotr on felclaws for some reason and died to fifth stack oneshot. Fml now that looks bad in the logs :|

I sacrifice everything, what has monk given. Defensively, prot pala is the worst because of constant high melee dmg. Offfensively, prot pala is the worst cause you cant take seraphim. So all thats left is life support with the helm and RP talent. Unfortunately helm loses a lot of value without t19 4p, which was also nerfed and will be unfeasible once you reach higher ilvl unless you really luck out on titanforges for that t19. Haste is by far our best stat and it would work wonders to smoothen out the dmg intake from just regular melee, but of course only 2 of the 6 t20 items have haste on them. While going up 10 ilvl from 905 to 915 i have gone down from 33% to 28% haste and i will go down even farther if i try to get 4p... It's really annoying that monk has absolutely no downside. Theres no choice, you just press your buttons and you automatically do most damage and have smoothest intake. Bears lose their magic reduction but guess what the only boss with relevant magic dmg is mistress and one tank can take it all.

Yeah, protection paladin feels like a design made and unchanged from a time before they decided not having 100% uptime on mitigation was still okay. I've heard some pretty scary tales of prot pal literally being unable to tank heroic KJ. The spec just can't do it lol

Its possible, but you really have to go full defensive, with Darkmoon card, heavy hide enchant, and two talents that you normally wouldnt take that greatly reduce your dps, one being the tradeoff of using the charges for DMG buff or Dmg reduction. But if you do all that, you are still taking way more dmg than say a bear physically or a monk, do less dps. Really the only advantage you then have left over them is being able to heal the raid while you are not actively tanking. I did it with 2-3-10 and even then random autoattacks without fel claw would sometimes chunk 70% of my hp. In a 30man raid this would be 80-90%. And you just can not have the mitigation 100% up. You use all the charges while you are tanking, but need to have enough of them still ready for the fel claws, then need to pool them all while the other tank has aggro quickly. There is absolutely no room for slack. Meanwhile the warrior in my group had devastator skilled and went trollolo, even took one of the big soaks.

We had a 955 shadow relic drop, went to a warrior. Also killed KJ on Sunday because small group of 13 people raided overtime. I am always annoyed by this nonsense.

Honestly, from watching vids, it looks like the only hard parts of Heroic KJ are 2-3 ability overlaps with the beam in P3. Once you get those down, should be relative cake.
