From the guys, who developed Evoland.
Looks quite promising, considering it's early access. I'm feeling a simplistic 3D AoE vibe, but that's just the first thing, that popped into my head, when I watched the trailer.

edit: Just noticed, I misspelled access in the title. I'd really appreciate it, if a mod could add the missing 's'. Not only to complete the word 'access', but also my ungratified existence.

I've also been following this along. It seems like something I'd definitely want to try, though the depth of gameplay doesn't seem too large, sadly. (only like 1-2 different combat units for example). Could be fun for a week or two of messing around though!

the depth of gameplay doesn't seem too large, sadly. (only like 1-2 different combat units for example) That's the sad thing about RTS these days. Developers fear the learning curve might be too high, so they dumb it down. What happened to easy to learn hard to master? I really miss those days. T.T

indeed! The price tag has also been put to 20 EUR, and I'm not sure that's quite worth it at it's current stage.

I really like it and it doesn't feel too much dumbed down to me. It could be deeper, yes. But I don't think it wants to be your standard RTS. It very much reminds me of a worker-placement board game and I dont feel like more warrior types for example would really add anything but distraction from the core concept. The way it is right now you can play a pretty fast round of it and after that be done or go on with the next one. I really hope I can hook up some of my friends because so far it seems like a really fun and lighthearted multiplayer game.
But I am interested how they will do the campaign since it seems to me that it could get quite boring if you always repeat the same stuff there.

I like the graphic, to bad a game like this didnt focus on combat, would probably fail but if it didnt fail it had the graphic on its side.

There is really not much to do at the moment and the units feel very unresponsive at times. The bonfire has to be from stronghold to recruit people, it kinda feels like a board game, overall very slow. Refunded until further improvements, multiplayer is coming in the future.

T.T idk, i dont think these games are trying to go for being competitive titles, they're just casual strategy games. nothing wrong with that.

Title fixed! Also, this gives me an AoE vibe too. Could be fun.

Man this looks beautiful, I put it on my Steam wishlist and will get it once it's out of early access and on sale.
|
So this game is on sale right now and I considering to buy it for 18 bucks.
Anyone still playing this? How is the state of the game, is it worth it? Is it easy to set up multiplayer games with friends? I can't open ports, so if that's necessary for hosting like in wc3 I won't get it.

designing a proper easy-to-learn game with a high skill cap is difficult. Most designers don't have the skillset to do it properly. Hence why the genre will continue to struggle for years to come.
