PC players got shafted in that regard.

Someone post on the PC Clan recruitment thread on the Bungie forums another post on the PS4 thread? Possible to drive some numbers our way.
Also noticed we don't get clan credit for strikes, PE's etc after 5k.... That has to be a bug right? If not we're in in trouble

There is a cap on contribution per account, you can see it somewhere.

The cap is 5k weekly per character rather than account. You can check it on your clan page (F1, clan)

Heroic Strikes better/Improved Powerful/Raid equivalent gear if we don't have any new Raid areas...
Also define "Large" public event...?

I have a few questions. I am not really the MMO kind of guy but as it is a shooter it makes it easier for me even though I actually miss a bit of crafting and collecting lots of different items. Seemingly there are basically none. I am now 235 powerlevel and unlocked nightfall with it.
Yet I entered yesterday (you can solo it or have a fireteam so I assume it will get scaled down or up) . I know the recommended power is 235 but it seems like I deal NO DAMAGE whatsoever and the wizards in the nightfall just one-shot me. Is the difference between 235 and 240 so insane or is it simply not "recommended" to enter before out-powerleveling it?
It really gets kind of grindy and lame to do public events and patrols if you run whole day. Yes strikes still improve gear sometimes so I could do strikes all day but thats the same story. It feels really boring.
Edit: seemingly if you are below powerlevel you receive more damage and do less... if you are above it you are scaled down.. w00t :S
Edit2: so basically I can hit the highest recommended powerlevel and stick with it, since it doesnt benefit me anyways if I have more? Only in hopes of new content?

AFAIK Destiny 2 doesn't have any scaling for fireteam size. So if you enter by yourself, the Nightfall doesn't get scaled. It just lets you enter in as one person if you want to solo it like a wow dungeon.
Activities basically have an entry requirement and a power level cap. If you are past the power cap you are scaled back to that cap. Nightfall is doable below cap but it will be noticeably more challenging unless you are being carried. A lot of the wizards are such in this nightfall have a big shield on them so it until you break it, it will look like no damage. That might be causing it to look worse than it is.
Until you get to power level 265, anything you do will give you the same kind of drops. Public Events are just the most efficient way to improve because its easy to chain them together.
edit: On clans, I wouldn't worry too much about not leveling the Clan so much. While there are perks for clan levels, its not like they will make/break the game. The only important thing about Clans is getting welfare engrams.

Obviously Leviathan and Trials are harder

Honestly, soloing a nightfall would be easy without the time limit, I remember I just kept running out of ammo and having to basically die to reset.

The system is just shit in Destiny. Either you recommend a power level and anything above that has an easier time first of all. Where is the point in increasing it if you are basically hard capped by the content. If the higehst content available is 270 for example you will never be stronger than 270. You will also never be worth more to your team.
Secondly why would you make the nightfall available for 1-3 if its basically near impossible alone. Even far above the power level it seems like a very shit experience. Well - think I am done. Nice experience playing it but the grind and the endgame is just super shit to me

The Nightfall is designed primarily for 3 people. People can 2-man or even solo if it has the right modifiers but those are outliers/people specifically trying to achieve it for the fun of it. I'm not exactly sure how the power level cap works but what pachi describes sounds reasonable to me.
One thing to keep in mind that Destiny seems like an FPS first and an MMO second.

wait can you contribute twice as much xp or do you just earn it twice as fast
cause I max out on both (soon to be all 3) of my pc characters pretty trivially every week already lol
lmfao this is obviously normal xp not clan xp, oops
