Regarding D2, in general, and not the warmind expansion specifically.
the 1 thing i like about Destiny 2 is that constant "duck and cover" or "run back through a choke and draw the enemies into a parade line of death"... 2 strats that have worked from DOOM (1994) to Borderlands2 (2012).... doesn't work completely. "duck and cover" partially works.. sometimes... and that's cool. its not a universal catch-all strat. so that is good.
i like Destiny2 and Borderlands The PreSequel because you can't constantly hunker down and "duck and cover".
As far as volume of content goes.. if Borderlands2 is worth the full $60 USD price tag i'd say Destiny2 is worth ~$35.
just my $0.02 on Destiny2.

Pros: Sound effects are amazing in this DLC.
Cons: Bullshit ending, also if Zavala is so against a Warmind type of defense why were his other friends so determined to send us to Io during the Cabal invasion...?

I don't recall it too well.... but I think we were sent to Io because Ikora went there, and Ikora went there because Io is sacred and special because that was the last place the Traveller went before the Collapse. While on Io, the Cabal were breaking into vaults and stuff.

I guess...
Also just discovered that heroic Strikes are still useless as they still drop 340 gear despite being 350 reqs. HOw did Bungie now fix this they have to know it is a issue.

I haven't played any of the expansions but I played the hell out of the base game on launch. Honestly it was worth 60 bucks, I think people just overvalue their money too much. I've spent 60 dollars on way worse games.
D2 has plenty of problems, and certain things that were removed from D1 are just mindboggling, but the gunplay is satisfying, the game looks incredible, and the general run and gun is fun.

It's not an issue for Bungie. It was part of their plan to artificially prolong the grind time to keep players playing.

Except it is not a grind. A grind is a slow ladder climb until you reach the top. Here one has to Calus raids just to get to the light level to do Heroic Strikes.
|
I think its more like there's a missing part of a progression path. Especially when you consider how fast you cap after you beat the campaign.

I had to leave the TL clan. Sorry but I think I need all the Powerful engrams I can get during this initial grind.
I'm stuck at something pathetic this week, and am waiting for new milestones to roll over.
Really sucks because I wanna get sleeper simulant asap.

Heroic strikes used to be the stop gap between post story and raid, the softcap system killed that potential though.

They've BS-ed so much that if it ever is a truly, honest, real mistake. No one believes them.
Its too bad because i don't think Bungie is a complete and total fraud. They've done some BS-ing and now have been labelled as fraudsters. But, they also do some nice work.

Ikora was there because it was a sacred place and she frequented it to meditate. We went into the Warmind to use it to scan All Mighty's architecture and defenses, because Zavala was determined to bullrush it like an idiot.

Speaking of story, the stuff about the Exo Stranger excites me about this DLC. I hope the next Comet blows us all of the water, I know the game needs it to, I'm hoping since Expansion II was farmed out to one of Activision's studios, the Fall Expansion is going to be huge.
Oh and grats Southlight, 1 more post to 10k, make it count!

Go on...
Heroic strikes are a great example of something we definitely want to keep iterating on. In the May 29 update, you’ll see a small change to help make these better. - Escalation Protocol Key Fragments will become a 100 percent drop chance from each Heroic strike. The goal here is to make getting these fragments more accessible while also preserving the need to go play non-open-world content to get the fragments.
- Heroic strikes will be able to drop better rewards. Every three to five Heroic strikes will drop a Legendary that can carry you up to 360 Power (before mods). This should better align the rewards of Heroic strikes with the difficulty of the activity and help solo players have a more reliable source of upgrades.
We won’t have any time to make changes to what’s coming on the 29th, but please let us know how you feel about these rates; it is good information to inform future updates.

I don't know why they didn't learn from Ubisoft and decided to fall into the same exact hole. Credit to Ubisoft to eventually righting the ship but it cost them a lot of their initial player base.
