These past two TWABs have been pretty nice.

Have you guys completed the grind for the armor yet? I've been slacking so badly, I need to sit down and power through it.
I still haven't gotten Whisper!
Oh no, Activision didn't announce hard sale figures, like they've never done for this franchise. RIP any hopes of Destiny 3.

I'm 100% done with year 1. 3 classes armor done, 400/400 triumph points done. The only things I didn't get in year 1 are glory rank stuff, some of the strike and crucible catalysts. Bring on the goods in year 2 Bungie.

RIP any hopes of Destiny 3. in the previous ATVI investor call not only were no hard sales figures released for Destiny2 but no hard sales figures were released for any of their 8 major franchises. ATVI has never done that before. They've always put forth some hard sales data.
The result is that for the first time ever the implied volatility of ATVI has skyrocketed over 30% indicating investor fear; the stock has gone from over $80 to less than $70 in less than a month.
Every speaker on the investor call was prodded for hard data by the audience. None was forthcoming. Hard sales data matters.

Nobody go to Reddit until Forsaken is released, data miners have basically spoiled the entire story of the expansion as well as the raid, items and so on.

Don't go to reddit and try to avoid Destiny content on places like Youtube for as long as possible until Forsaken launches.

i'm slowly working through the full story line for Mercury that is part of the Curse of Osiris Expansion. The story is pretty good. I'd say its a 7.5/10 story. I've completed 9 of those cubes. I don't know why the story gets such hate. Is it The Godfather Part 2? no. but its alright... its kind of interesting.
the additional story on Mars as part of the Warmind expansion is kind of interesting as well. i heard people were very upset that they brought Ana Bray back from the dead. Because i didn't play D1 I had no idea she died. This is probably a 7.5/10 or maybe 8/10 story with interesting lore easter eggs to find along the way. Again, I don't get the hate.
i think maybe people obsess over 1 plot hole and then declare "this story is complete and total garbage".
The combat in these expansions and the entire game is absolutely top notch. This makes it easier to over look plot holes. People expecting a campaign story better than the Godfather and Citizen Kane can rage away i guess.

here are some hard #s investors/"the street" have been thirsting for.
Battle of Azeroth: Fastest Selling WoW Expansion Ever. https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20180823005255/en/
ATVI produces some hard #s. The implied volatility plummets while the stock rises. The only reason they can't do this for the Destiny franchise or Heroes of the Storm is that the hard #s would show weakness rather than strength.
