well that's mostly because that gun doesn't shoot an actual burst like crimson but it shoots like a shotgun blast. so a precision hit only counts for 1 crit, not 2
a few weeks ago i speculated that the $60 Forsaken game would go down to $26 by Black Friday just like the $60 Vanilla Destiny2 game went for $26 on Black Friday of 2017. that is an aggressive and fast price cut..
well ...I WAS WRONG.. Bungie is cutting the price FASTER than i projected. 5 weeks in and we get a price cut because Bungie is "listening to the fans". LOLOL

so will Destiny3 go on sale 2 weeks after it sells for $60 on release day?
I mean they are kinda right, people are saying D2 is a lot better now (just like it took Taken King to make D1 good) but paying for the base game + all expansions + annual pass is more then people are willing to pay and they would rather just get 2 other AAA games instead.
Bungie is great about bringing legendary old-timers into the Destiny universe. we had Paul Mccartney and Led Zeppelin with D1. I think they've added Jerry Seinfeld or Andy Kaufman to the Destiny2 PR team...
is this a joke or do they expect me to believe this crap?
Second Wave Launching a game reveals what we did right and where we could have done better. With the first month of Forsaken behind us, we’re taking stock of what we’ve learned. Some of those learnings will manifest in game updates that we’re deploying in the very near future, but not every improvement can be made with code changes. We also want to make it less complicated for other Guardians to begin their journey in Forsaken.
Effective October 16, the purchase of Destiny 2: Forsaken will include the two expansions included in the Destiny 2 Expansion Pass. Every player of Destiny 2 who has yet to touch down on the Tangled Shore will need only the Forsaken upgrade. Our hope is that this will eliminate some of the questions that confront a player as they try to join our party.
“What about us?” we can hear everyone who has already purchased Forsaken asking.
You’re our Vanguard. We appreciate you beginning the hunt on day one. You were there when the first raid finish changed the Dreaming City. You’ve been part of the conversation that has breathed enthusiasm back into the Tower. For you, and only the players like you, we have a collection of veteran’s rewards as an expression of our appreciation for being on the frontlines.
Every Guardian who played Forsaken prior to October 16 will receive the following bundle of items.
The DLC part was not some "price cut". They did the same for The Taken King. At launch TTK did not include year 1 DLCs, they later bundled those with TTK, but it was much later, like in December.
The Ships at the end of D2 Vanilla are shown in a Hologram, so they are getting close and with the Leviathan raid I could easily see Bungie have us team up with Calus to fight them.
So I'm back again after playing the free week end a couple of months ago. What would be a good bundle for me to buy exactly? I don't intend to play this hardcore (probably not even multiplayer), just looking for a fun little looting FPS experience.
i recommend buying that version if you do not own any other parts of Destiny2.
if you end up playing it a lot and it turns into your ' #1 game ' so to speak... then consider buying the "Annual Pass" whose content stream begins in December.
Ah thanks! Exactly what I was looking for, it's also on sale on the Europe shop. Is there a definitely more "fun" or deep class to play (especially solo)? From what I saw it didn't seem to matter that much which one I picked, the gameplay wouldn't exactly change meaningfully.
i like all classes approximately equally. i suspect others have a more in depth opinion than i do.
The price of the bundle i purchased on September 5th has gone from $70 USD to $60 USD. I highly suspect another big discount will occur near American Thanksgiving AKA "Black Friday" sales. So if it is too expensive for you right now and you can wait a few weeks you can probably save a substantial amount of cash.

All bundles incurred a price drop around of around 15%. Plus, DLC is no longer required for many of the bundles. The most expensive bundle fell 25% in price. My $70 USD bundle is now $60 AND no longer requires the previous Year 1 DLC.
6 weeks in and we're getting a price drop and loosening of DLC requirements? I'm only half joking when i say :"looks like Destiny 3 will get a discount 3 weeks after its released".
All that aside, I'm happy with the game; it is a lot of fun.
I think Warlock is the best and most fun solo class, also has the most OP super in the game for when you are grouped with other people. Titan is a close second in terms of team utility and strong supers, but probably isn't as good solo.
Hunter is what I've been maining since Forsaken came out and I think they are good for add clearing quickly and doing high amounts of burst damage but aren't as survivable as the other two classes and thus much worse in hard content when you're by yourself or with people you aren't in Discord with.

but i'm 15 power too low for it.
what power are you? the first 1/3rd is doable at around 570-575 with a group
i'm 555 with my highest level stuff on. i want to do the quest-step//"pursuit" that requires 1 type of armour and with that armour i'm 552. i'm in no hurry. i'll just wait until i get to 570.
when you become an old man like me... you like to savour each aspect of the P v E content.
if the franchise were making multi-billions of dollars then Destiny2: Forsaken wouldn't be as impressive an accomplishment by the developers at Bungie. Throw enough developers and money at anything and you can make a huge game. Its damn cool we're getting this much quality content considering Destiny hasn't exactly exceeded the financial expectations of ATVI.
to quote Jesse `The Body` Ventura : " i am impressed and i don't impress easy "
I think its time to put to bed Jason Scheier's speculative articles that Bungie can't create big amounts of content because of the limitations of the engine they use. Even if this limitation were true years ago it does not mean the engine can't be improved, evolved, and extended to better facilitate the creation of new content.
I agree that Destiny's slow content creation and patch issue is behind us. If you look at things content wise, Festival of the Lost is arguably larger than the only big update The Taken King got.
