My favorite part about fortnite, apart from the building, is that I can play with my friends, me on PC and they on xbox.
There's something to be said about free cross platform games. It's really cool to be able to play with a close friend who you normally wouldn't be able to play thanks to it being free and cross platform. Pubg is cross platform too I believe but it cost money, so it's a lot easier to get your friends to play.
I've never played pubg, I know it's more real, bigger map and has vehicles but from what I've heard it's full of bugs and bad optimization. Fortnite is developed by the same guys that work on the engine, it's going to be as optimized as it can be. Every single week there seems to be a new update. Even though I've never played Pubg, I have zero doubts it is the better game, even if some people find pubg gameplay to be more fun.
teamliquid doing good! they won the first match and almost closed out the entire tournament with a 2nd win in match 2! it was 1v1 at the end and lost by self explosion with opponent at 1 hp! wow!
I thought I'd download this game and give it a try.
What kind of morons are playing this??? 2nd place finish in my first game and 1st place in my second game.
I'm not claiming to be good but wtf surely it gets harder as you play more games right? Or is it all just casual gamers without a clue? Cos I ain't down for multiplayer that isn't challenging.

Haven't played Fortnite and don't plan to, however I read in an article that Fortnite nowadays fills games that aren't full with feelgood bots that suck, probably especially in your first games, so that you do well. They apparently aren't easy to spot, however you can't have them in your team and you can't spectate them when you're dead.

I played it quite alot last night and then uninstalled it. I like the concept but it lacks depth imo and just gets boring real quick. I remember this kind of idea from playing DayZ when it was an ARMA mod. That shit was real.
Back to Insurgency now I think. Its the most underrated tactical shooter of all time.

Yes in the first 5-10 matches there seems to be a shitload of bots to get you hooked. Also Fortnite has crossplay across all plattforms no matter what input device you are using. Chances are you are playing with some dudes on their iPhones.
I am not sure. I played a lot of Fortnite; I think the game becomes worse and worse the better you get. My absolute best time in Fortnite was the beginning, when building was rudimentary and being caught in the open meant certain death. Hiding, moving stealthily and positioning were everything.
The whole box fighting fest is really not very interesting and the game has become very abstract imo. I still like it, but it has no potential of being a great esport.
I fully agree with the speaker above. The game did not reach the required level. First, as mentioned, with each update, the game either stands still or gets worse. I started playing since the release, the latest innovations only worsen the balance and make it easier. The game is interesting, but alas, it can not go further!!
PUBG doesn't have crossplay (it would definitely not make sense to put PC players vs console players unless the console players pull out mouse and keyboard, it's a pretty HARD game they would get WRECKED), but it's really interesting I've been playing it quite a lot. Now it has a ranked mode including solo ranked, good bunch of maps, bot maps for beginners and few bots on normal games, no bots on ranked games. I recommend. There are some bugs but not that many, the optimization I'm not sure if it has to do with what the engine is trying to draw or woot but if you have a recent GFX you should get over 100 FPS pretty constant. I recommend tbh. Stealth is quite important in PUBG there are still quite bunch of playstyles. The most frustrating part is that you die potentially in ~0.2sec on a full auto even at quite some distance so if you get caught in somebody's sight you may get lasered that fast and vice versa so of course it has its luck factor and etc but it's still pretty rewarding and you can get better and see your stats improve. There are like 4 or 5 regular maps they are all quite good. Game does receive updates, weapon balance is pretty good, they're not really adding stuff constantly for no reason it's quite all right. They are dealing with cheaters and there are rather few cheaters nowadays although it seems some are back this season with the esport stuff.
