And yes Ownage-Juice, we know who you are, we also know that you were hardly the glue that held those teams together, in fact each of those teams had 1-2 core players that made it work while the rest were interchangeable with anyone. NA IHL-ers at their finest. To put it another way, NA DotA is a collection of skilled players who can't work as a team against any top team any where else. Too much ego involved as noted by the stream of excuses when a supposed up and coming NA team gets thrashed against any worthy comp.

etherone, you do realize, korok started playing hon around the time i started, say end of july, begin of august. we barely play and still crush teams like loaded in little scrims here and there. how long have they been playing? 1-2 years? the games are different. it takes a while to get used to the different screen and icons and such. also the team battles are like a huge clusterfuck if you arent used to hon. unlike dota which is crystal clear in what is going on. and, black started playing like a month ago and already is one of the top ho nplayers on a top hon team. i dont follow the competitive aspect of hon since it is like what 5-6 teams? isnt that kind of a wasteful crappy atmosphere. rem is a hon admin so he barely plays competitive. and say what you want about loda. i have no idea about him. and heres a replay alventine of me and my team-blight.usa months back http://gosugamers.net/dota/replays/26590 http://gosugamers.net/dota/replays/25772 i can post more if u want bro. and yup, we got 'thrashed' 2nd place DP tourney. 1st place ESl, 1st place cevo.

CEVO is NA, I would hope you can beat the players in NA. DP tourney was the probably the worst tourney with nobody giving a shit at the end, glorified D-L playoffs, I had to argue with 2 admins to get a damn hostbot for that tourney. Don't take it personally Juice, it's just fact, I still remember when Paintitgold was making excuses for why you guys lost to the old KS.int; not when KS.int was good but when Puppey was making stubborn picks and Miracle barely playing (if he hadn't jumped ship already). Paintit's reasoning was that you guys got outpicked becaue Puppey was one of the best captains in the world and that there was nothing to be ashamed of. Except the team promptly did NOTHING after that. Like cool, glad we still put Demon and Fear out on euro teams because there isn't a single worthwhile team here in NA. I am not ragging on you as much as I am ragging on your mentality, good game against MYM...on EMS...from 6.64...like really dude? The problem I have is we have a bunch of skilled players dancing around in IHLs and absolutely nothing to show for it. If that isn't a scrub mentality, I don't know what is.

Are you even capable of looking at the ability of players through a non-subjective view, which is not soley based on your own opinions of players. etherone, you do realize, korok started playing hon around the time i started, say end of july, begin of august. we barely play and still crush teams like loaded in little scrims here and there. how long have they been playing? 1-2 years? the games are different. it takes a while to get used to the different screen and icons and such. also the team battles are like a huge clusterfuck if you arent used to hon. unlike dota which is crystal clear in what is going on. and, black started playing like a month ago and already is one of the top ho nplayers on a top hon team. i dont follow the competitive aspect of hon since it is like what 5-6 teams? isnt that kind of a wasteful crappy atmosphere. I like how people still have the ignorance to compare past and present games. So basically your point is that every hon player sucks at both games. Its clear that dota was released way before hon (like 9years?), so obviously you dont understand that with time, comes experience upon other factors, which in general equate to skill, and it is not a lie that skills inbetween the two games are interchangeable. therefore, is not possible to assume that people with a dota background will easily be able to compete with hon players at a top level for quite some time, until the meta game has developed. I love how much you exaggerate at hon's time within the competitive scene. Please stop comparing the skill levels of players in two different games. and yup, we got 'thrashed' 2nd place DP tourney. 1st place ESl, 1st place cevo. great, put it on your CV

I love how you come in waving credentials around instead of supporting your argument. Pro-tip: if you enjoy staying on TL, no one gives a shit about just your credentials. They help, don't get me wrong, but if your idea is shit and you don't provide supporting evidence then no one is going to pay attention to you. TL is a much more mature site than what you're used to (as you've stated previously) Moving on, HoN players have been playing for a year. The competitive people who STARTED in HoN have had a year to play, while the DotA players who switch over have had something like 5-8 years. As much as elitists from DotA like to rant, HoN and DotA share the same basic concepts. The things that separate the "greats" from the "goods" have always been things like awareness, picks, item choices, and the ability to react well in tough situations (maintain focus). All of these carry over from DotA to HoN, the changes that have been made are largely related to spell mechanics. I'll agree that top DotA teams are better than top HoN teams, but there is a reason for this, they've had much longer to develop. The competitive scene in HoN is what, 9-10 months old? Talk about jumping the gun... Edit: elitist > elitists

Everyone that has a sense of both games already knows the skill level required in dota is much higher than in hon.

I can understand if you mean, the skill required to be successful in HoN is much lower due to the fact that the players are worse, because I agree. If you mean that DotA itself is harder than HoN then I'm a little confused and could you expound upon what you mean?
