Kills the game for me. Help
(when the game is running good, it's at a 100 fps, so yes i have a good enough machine to run it no problem)
Nope, also the reason why I decided to not stay subscribed, terrible performance for certain machines that should be able to handle it fine. Everything updated, still sometimes drops to 8-9 fps.

Childish reply but i'll grant you one last insight. Waiting for a game, why would you do something like a game of LoL which takes well over 30 mins to finish off, not something you could stop very easily? - Dominion is still 20-30 minutes, not to mention much more fast paced making it harder to alt-tab -_- dont add things to your pretty story Alt-tabbing every 5-10 minutes for 7 hours, no break away from your PC for any lengthy periods. Not forgetting once, this is you and a friend / multiple friends doing this. You also didnt miss the queue while tabbed out at all, am i right? No disconnects from anyone either (although that one is possible.) Im calling BS. Right here, call me beyond retarded and "buttfrustrated" all you like, it says more about you then it does me
Because we knew we wouldn't get queue? Holy balls. We knew when the 50 only was activated we would have a hard time getting a queue, that was the entire point of us sitting there for 7 hours. And no I'm not awful at video games and my computer isn't ass so alt-tabbing takes about 2 seconds top.
How is it so hard to believe for people to queue up play a few games of dominion (which are only 20 minutes TOPS btw) and then played civ 5 for about 5 hours. We knew we wouldn't get a queue for at least an hour (considering our warzone time before the 50 only was instituted was over 30 minutes on average) so why not play dominion and tab over to make sure you don't get logged out?
Oh, nm, that's totally impossible. No one ever sits and plays games for 7+ hours straight, impossible!
Perhaps you don't understand what a low population server is, I forgot your server is just like every other server!

Wow this thread just keeps getting shittier by the day.
I'm personally loving the game still after nearly 400 hours gameplay. Haven't noticed much of a grind anywhere - and that is coming from a legit ranked battlemaster - none of this Ilum valor abuse shit. Balance seems quite good in PVP and PVE too (at level 50). Day by day the game is becoming more refined and things are being fixed. In a few months time I imagine the game will be even more amazing.
I'm having more fun in SWTOR than I've had in any MMO ever before.
Also now that they have fixed Ilum, the PVP there is sweet, heavily range-dps favored though which sucks because I'm a juggernaut.

I find the grinding is for PvP =/.
The amount of warzones to get to 60 is a lot of time... and harder for certain classes because medals are not as easy to grab for certain classes.
And I don't really think PvP is entirely balanced... from my experience, I would recommend people to not make Marauders. I don't think this class is that good to be honest. I rarely ever see Marauders doing well in a 50 warzone, to be quite frank.
In fact, it's why I pretty much play my Sorc now. I have no troubles doing well in every warzone, and it's definitively a much more useful class in certain warzones like Huttball.

True the grind was probably easier for me because I'm a juggernaut so I was averaging around 12 medals a game (until the biochem nerf so I usually get 10 or 11 medals now). Marauders are actually REALLY good if played well, I often PVP with a battlemaster marauder on my server who tops damage every game without fail, >500k damage per game isn't unusual for him. Admittedly they are a little squishy, but their damage is outstanding.

500k damage? For a Marauder?
Fully geared Battlemaster going against a bunch of ungeared players or something?
Or is it just because you guys are queing a fully geared squad on an Empire imbalanced server >_>.

I'm a Battlemaster Assassin and a newly Champion Marauder. It is just awful trying to learn this class. JK/SW in general need to be buffed in the same ham-fisted way that Op/Scound were nerfed. That being said, if you have a group willing to support you up until you get your Champ stuff, and almost always PvP with them, Marauder shines. They're DISGUSTING skirmishers in Void Star, and really strong Ball Carriers.
It comes down to how long can you handle PvP-ing at 50 without any expertise. Because the class is just trash until then.

I play on one of the most faction balanced servers, The Swiftsure. It is a flip of the coin as to which faction controls Ilum at all points of the day so the balance is really spot on. And this is 500k damage in level 50 brackets, against everything from pugs to other battlemaster geared players. Marauder in mostly champion gear (main-hand battlemaster weapon though - lucky him I'm jealous).
So yes his gear was good but its not like his opponents were shit. Marauders are by far the most gear-dependent class in the game. If you can handle the grind until you get gear and learn how to play (having full gear and being a noob you'll still perform poorly) then marauders truly rip people apart.
They will always be squishy though, so I guess its good that they have a stealth and a 99% damage reduction cooldown. Having a pocket healer or tank spec guarding him I can imagine a geared Marauder will decimate everything.
Also there are a few Jedi Sentinels on my server which seem to utterly molest things, so it certainly isn't a standalone example.

My Marauder was still missing champion off-hand and like 4 pieces (with 2 centurion pieces) and I got over 300k every single warzone pretty easily. It's ridiculously easy to get insane damage charts if you just go rage spec. Jump into a group of enemies, pop everything and see (at the very minimum) 4000's everywhere. I've seen as high as 6000.

The feeling of a 7.2k Force Scream is just incredible in Carnage (with adrenals, ofc). I switched out of Rage because it makes us look really useless later on, as a Juggernaut can put up those kind of numbers, and has force push and all the utility defensive skills as well. It sucks hard that we're held to that kind of standard, but the other trees require either tons of skill or expertise (or both) to pull off.

Yeah rage is good at lower gear level to get big hits off but once you're champion/battlemaster geared I find for both juggernauts and marauders that vengeance / carnage specs fair better, much more consistent damage. Rage spec is too much of a 1-trick-pony which isn't good in PVP when your enemy knows what is coming. They see 4 stacks of shockwave buff on you and just CC you until it wears out, then what do you do?
The Marauder I referenced earlier uses carnage.

In terms of grind, its there all right, what MMO doesnt have a grind? Your playing the wrong genre if you dont want a grind tbh :| try skyrim?
The thing is, this is the only game that has kept me playing consistently through that grind. I can log on and play for 3-5 hours a day happily, wheras in other MMO's i just got bored as hell quickly and logged out, eventually quit because the time i put in wasnt worth the subscription.
I know it might not be the same for everyone, but complaining about a grind in an MMO is pretty stupid if you ask me, i cant see how they could provide anything different in terms of replayability, add more things to do yeah ofc. But it will still be a grind at the end of the day ^_^
Ive seen so many people say "its boring at 50, im going back to WoW"..sorry to say but you literally do exactly the same shit. Log on, get your pvp/pve points maxxed out for the day / week (which involves arena's / dungeons) probably grind some materials or some shit put them on auction house then log out untill its time to raid (or go level an alt, which is alot more boring then doing one on swtor, everyone knows ^_^) Yes, the game was released years ago blah dee blah, but swtor is competing with the wow of today, and thats what todays wow offers. the same shit :-D. Its the same with every other MMO too. I dont know what your all getting at to be honest :-)
Perhaps the could add more in terms of things to collect or random crap to do, but there is plenty if you ask me. The only thing im waiting for is rated battlegrounds with pre-mades -_-

Will the game still be fun if I don't play hardcore or if I don't have a guild? I am kind of single player RPG but since i finish Skyrim, I think i might give Bioware MMO a try?

Yes, the game is amazing even if you just want to level your characters. You don't need to aim for late game content at all if you want to just have fun with the game and go at a leisurely pace.

Leveling is nice, but at maxlevel there is nothing to do. If you like Story the Class-Stories are worth it.

theres is stuff to do at level 50 without a guild you can do all the PvP dalies and its not hard to get a group for HM flashpoints.

PvP is really fun! Too bad all my guildmates are 50, and I'm only 36. At least that makes me quest instead of just playing PvP!

Gotta admit, raiding's fairly easy in this game. At least normals, not sure if hardmodes would be harder.
My guild's already cleared Eternity Vault and last night we downed Karraga, probably faction first for our server. Boss fight is a bit hectic, but it was largely due to bugs that it took as many attempts as it did, once we lucked out and the one bug didn't occur, we dropped him quickly. Even got a speeder out of it.
