hello, I've been lurking this thread for a while, mainly catching up on what is happning by looking at the influence maps. I recently found this old one - http://www.eve-files.com/media/corp/crii/latest.jpg
is it me, or does that look like a world map? the bob area is south america, north america is above, even kind of split into canada, USA and mexico here; the razor bit an enlarged greenland; europe is a bit messed up I agree, but the drone areas look a bit like the baltic with the AAA, and stain and goons old habitat spookily like a distorted africa.
is it just me?

Your theory assumes the middle area is unihabited (like the atlantic ocean lololol) when the middle is actually where all the care bears and roleplayers hang out in empire.

Is it really that smart for GS to be pissing off more corps that AREN'T fighting them?
|
Dude they're goons. They're dumb as fuck. Their very goal in MMO games is to piss people off.
|
The Mittani is a presenter at GDC, what the fuck...
|
Irony. Goons dropped SOV in 30 systems. IT and AAA are going around blowing up goonswarm territorial claim units and replacing them with their own. Looks like they forgot to pay the light bill. This is an even dumber way to lose your space than how bob lost it. Goons are crying on the forums while everyone mocks them. Will be a little while to see the extent of the fallout from this. It should be interesting regardless of what happens now.

Goon experts are claming this to be a bug and are requesting a rollback since they're not th eonly one that got hit by the supposed bug(xdeathx, ultima ratio, aaa citizens also got hit). The only thing these events have incommon is that all the systems were held by a single corp in each alliance respectevely.
In other eve related news: Karma is a bitch : P

There will be lots of kicking and screaming, but IT and friends should have retaken Delve/Querious pretty soon, no doubt about it.
EDIT: Just thinking... what will happen with Fountain? Assuming IT gets the whole of Delve and maybe even Querious aswell for themselves, it wouldn't be in their best interests to keep Fountain.

That's the thing though I have no doubt IT can reclaim that area but I also don't believe GS will just roll over, I can bet right now that The Mittani is pissed and he is a good FC, no idea who FC the other cluster fuck operations unless I am mistaken The Mittani wasn't one of them.
When GS needs numbers, they tend to pull enough or more numbers to fight, especially in situations such as this.

Can't believe I didn't see this:
From: Sent: 2010.01.26 15:10 To: Zenith Affinity,
GS anno 2010 forgot to pay their sov bill correctly
The current GS leadership conclusion by mittani is that they will instead of form up to fight, evac all assets to npc stations in delve or khandid versus the alternative, form all hands on deck and beat up IT and the hostiles
I am well aware that ZAF alone can not fight 450 people alone with rebellion on our side doing that, the logic is simple, ewac your stuff to empire, we have other solutions in mind already.
For your pvp ships, blow em up FIGHTING after you have put your assets secure in empire
Now:
ZAF will move on and make another chapter in its books in its near future as you secure your belongings, do so ASAP from ZAF stations. For your PVP loss, you will be reimbursed as always so you net loose almost nothing as always as long as you post on reimbursement thread on forum.
Everything will be reimbursed as long as you fly by ZAF FC and what he wants/calls for, I ask all FC to post their ops so i can keep track of what you have asked for of your fleet to do this right with the rapidly changing situation at hand so I dont miss anything.
And with that, welcome to another chapter to be in ZAF history over the years
Cheers gents Hunter

The explanation is in the post right above you, and I quote "GS anno 2010 forgot to pay their sov bill correctly."

Wonder whether or not is if the posted CONCORD message is real, I mean is true GS lost what 30 systems? Did GoonSwarm really just lose everything and the map hasn't been updated yet?
Ummm sorry to throw some facts into the bull**** but...
When BoB lost sov it was 100% and would have taken a week to get cynojammer protection back and jump bridges up again. Also would have been a minimum 23 hours to get basic sov back again. With the alliance gone standings would be shot and other problems would be confounding things.
Now Goons lost sov... it was not entire regions - go look at the maps. It was 10-15% tops. It was also ONLY one corporation within the alliance, and occurred at exactly 60 days from dominion. Thats 2 bill cycles afaik.
With the new sov mechanics, it takes the TCUs 8 hours to online, upgrade levels don't decay immediately, so JBs and cynojammers could be back up in under a day.
BoB lost 100% coverage for a week, and their enemies knew it was coming. Goons lost 15% coverage for 8 hours, and no-one knew it was coming.
The two events are barely comparable.

Judging from IRC, Goons/ZAF/Rebellion made an attempt on the J-L TCU that was onlining. As I understand, it dropped to around ~15% shield before friendlies came in and started repping/shooting.
J-L TCU has about 10 minutes before it onlines, though there's reports on heavy lags (and I believe a couple of skirmishes happened in F-T?). Can't provide more specific details, consigned to F5 duty whilst sat at work.
Edit: J-L secured, I believe F-T is next up.
You say that like you ever do anything but EVE while you're at work.
Minor engagement in F-T so far I think. we jumped BSs in and goons already had a fleet waiting. We shot a few rounds then warped off(or in my case, sat around for 10 minutes regaining shields with no hull, then stared at my dead frozen body for another 10).
Another small one in Pr-8ca. Goon support(or someone else? Died so quick I wasn't watching), showed up on gate and we popped them quick. Didn't even call primaries, just said shoot. Seen a few SOV changes as well, but didn't save them.
So end day info of stations taken
IT NOL-M9 J-LPX7 QX-LIJ PUIG-F HM-XR2 F-TE1T
AAA ED-L9T H74-B0 I1Y-IU
SYS-K TPAR-G
There was a ton of fun and ton of omgwtf is going on. Rushing that many/much TCU's, towers, fuel, ammo and so on to the front lines was an insane push.
Multiple Goon highends were hit and all with good timers including 2 taken. 2 towers with Titans building were also hit with good timers.
We burnt over 7,000,000 isotopes and 1,500,000 stront.
Killed 9 Carriers, 12 dreads and lost 1 of each.
Killed one JF worth double digit billions.
Welped on BS fleet into F-T where most never loaded costing us some 40 BS.
Very fun filled day for us.
This has been a very bad day for the Goons and even more so with ZA I would think.
