another thing is I find that practicing more than 2 hours gets you drummer calluses. Be ready for those or buy a glove. Rock on dude | ||

Yes, you might legally be allowed to drum for lots of hours during the day without soundproofing. But that doesn't mean that you should. A world where everyone takes a bit of effort to not annoy everyone around them is a much better world than one where everyone just does not give a fuck as long as no one can punish them. Also, even if common good and general courtesy is not an argument for you, you can be sure that there is something that your neighbour can do to annoy you to. If you piss them off, they will not care whether what they do pisses them off, and possible even do it specifically to annoy you. | ||

If you piss them off, they will not care whether what they do pisses them off, and possible even do it specifically to annoy you. yeah, it's pretty disappointing how many people are self centered about this kind of stuff. guys, your noise is an intrusion into their living space. if it makes their lives harder, then you are being a dick if you don't care about it. people have: night time jobs(so they sleep during the day), school work that requires focus and concentration, babies that can be woken up from naps, etc etc not to mention for some people it just honestly is really annoying to have a *boom boom boom boom boom* coming through your walls. to the op: if you actually care, your best bet is to talk to all the neighbors you share a wall with, and work out what time is best for you to play your drums. if you treat other people with respect, they will often give you respect back. not always, but often. | ||

But yeah on another note, padding for anything for whatever reason just happened to be stupidly high. I remember just getting foam for my workout room cost almost more than some of my gym equipment itself which surprised me. | ||
