A support ship arrived shortly after the landing (i assume they have a certain safety-waiting time), and welded down the shoes of the landing gear. Seems kinda dangerous. You would think you could automate that fairly easily, its already an automated barge and rocket xD

I can't really tell why they're doing it the way they're doing it - i just know that they're welding the rocket onto the ship (rather, they weld clamps on the shoes of the landing gear). Also, i don't really see why it'd be dangerous. There's not much fuel left in the booster (if any), and the rocket flopping over isn't more dangerous than a falling tree. That's my judgement though, didn't really think too much about it. edit: @above, that's not news. Falcon Heavy fairing is 13,1m by 5,2m, BA-330 is 13,7m long. Already was in 2005. Did i miss something?
