Just a tiny taster! You're welcome though. I think the music we grow up with sticks with us for the rest of our lives.
if anyone has listened to hazard, you can kinda see i'm influenced by him, still have a long way to go as far as producing is concerned, but i feel my second track is along the lines of what i want to create in future ^_^
I've also got another dnb mix in the works, just gotta get round to recording it.
also lately, been listening to a ton of Audio, this guy has insane production
As is common in the dance scene, people release stuff under various aliases, here's another by Nookie - this time releasing as Windy Milla.

Sweet Harmony.

Because why not, here's the tune the above was sampled from, going back to late 80's. Drum n Bass was just an itch in Aphex Twins mind at this stage. Fucking classic tune. Because why not. Ce Ce Rogers - Someday.
---
Krome & Time released some cool stuff, getting slightly back on track with The Slammer
---
Here's a top tune - drum n bass pedigree through and through.
---
FUCK MY LIFE. I'VE RUN OUT OF BISCUITS.
---
LTJ Bukem was known for his dnb with an ambient streak. Here's Demons Theme.
---
I'll have to give myself a reality check, and wonder why I didnt link this one already. More classic than the CLASSIC BW VOD STREAM.
---
Here's a break-beaty esq / hardcore tune from Yolk. Cained to death. BISH BOSH.
---
Full on old skool hardcore with this insane number, again by Yolk - it's on the flip side to the above.
---
More hardcore, this came out on Slammin Vinyl.
---
A final one for tonight. Thank fuck I hear you cry. Baby D.
Back in 1992 here in the UK, we had raves of 50,000 people with the likes of Fantazia and Helter Skelter. At that time they were the biggest raves on earth. I've linked some of the bigger tracks over the past few pages. The acid house sound got 'break-beatier' and the rave scene evolved. You can really hear in some of those tracks the evolution towards DnB.
Then in 1995 a seminal album landed. It was such a fresh sound, something so totally new hit the shelves that announced to the world that drum and bass had grown up.
If music can span generations, then this piece is it. If you like drum and bass but don't own this, then you're a bad person period. This is the full length 20 minute version. I'd be surprised if this wasn't already listed, but am I fuck going to check 19 pages.
Well i don't have that much drum & bass, got far more hardcore but i'll post some of my favourites from what i have
Earl Grey - The Flavour 2000, wasn't on youtube so i just uploaded it to my channel now.Smooth piano roller, stumbled on it in a 2nd hand record store about a year back. + Show Spoiler +

Warped Dynamics - Free (Smooth Mix) It's a recent tune in a late 1993/early 94 style. The guy only releases vinyl, no digital so may be hard to find on mp3.Try soulseek. + Show Spoiler +

Nice tracks! The Earl Grey one I'd heard, but never knew the name, who'd of thought I'd of found out from an Aussie posting to an American gaming site Scottie, lovely tune, would definitely have to go in a short list for 'best of' from this era, it was actually pressed on yellow vinyl.
I have to ask iPlaY.NettleS, if you grew up with these earlier hardcore / dnb tracks or if you found them somehow later down the line? I'm really curious to learn how this early dnb sound spread to other countries, did you for example get vinyl imports from Europe or USA?
Anyhoo, Cloud 9 was another alias of Nookie, who undeniably was at the edge of this sound. This was from Volume 3. + Show Spoiler +

Here's one by The Brothers Grimm called Exodus.
---
D Livin - Why
---
Here's one by Goldie, this time remixing a tune by Deep Blue. There were 3 odd releases on a slice of 10" vinyl. This was by far the best.
And the original deep blue track.
---
Foul Play released some blinding dnb back in the day - with a strong ambient streak. I recall reading that they stopped releasing stuff as one of the crew died (in a car crash I think). Great shame. This is a remix of theirs by Omni Trio, if you like the early ambient sound, I'd strongly recommend you checking out his stuff, he's released about 6ish albums I think.

4 horsemen of the apocalypse - drowning in her

This one by Intense is sublime. The beats.. Hmmm.. kinda sound chopped up a little... You'll have to trust me and wait for the break. We are the music makers! As I was looking for this on youtube, I saw that Earl Grey released a track on this very piece of vinyl. Sadly never owned it myself
Well i'm 30 and have been listening to this style for about 15 years now but this stuff was reasonably popular here back in the day and even the odd set of it still gets played nowdays.I never played it out (2007-2009) myself i mostly played 94-97 hardcore because they were young crowds who liked faster stuff.
Anyway i have been posting on backtotheoldskool.co.uk forums since 2002, also have my own soundcloud with some of my own work in that older 1990-1992 style here https://soundcloud.com/greenberg , free downloads there if you appreciate any of the tracks.
Strangely while i seem to be making a number of that style tracks i don't listen to it as much anymore, i have been buying plenty of acid techno the past couple years.Been a really good couple years for vinyl releases with the acid techno.
