Well, you're horribly uninformed, but I'm also sad to inform you that the oil industry won't end. Oil is used for a whole lot more than just cars. If personal transport ceased to use oil tomorrow, world oil demand would only go down around 40%. So, the spot price of oil would go down, but we'll still be drilling for oil for years & years to come.

"Free Energy" sounds very very scary though, doesn;t it ? At least in the short term it would be economic devastation. Not only on the energy markets; everywhere ! If you have free energy, you can exploit anything, indefinitely, you can mine anything, you can grow and, transform and build anything for free. Quickly all monetary units will simply devalue over night; If you no longer need to work 8 hours a day to receive monetary units what will 7 billion people do with their time ? 14 billion ? 28 billion in a few decades ? Wealth will mean nothing still we have a number of jobs that require the practitioner to undertake massive education and preparation. If someone sleeping all day will make as much as anyone else; if you can afford anything anywhere what will possibly motivate people to achieve wealth and greatness ? Already we see that a lot of people enjoying "too much freedom" grow more and more stupid each day. Each generation seems to be more stupid than the previous one in all western countries. My simple question is. How stupid will the 28 billion retards be in 2050 if this turns out to be true ?!?!?

The plant which would supply heating for Defkalion's own purposes only, is supposed to be inaugurated in October 2011. [72] Rossi says he will not be paid by Defkalion until the installation is delivered and works.[73] The company’s spokesman Symeon Tsalikoglou has confirmed the agreement.[74][75] Defkalion has also been featured on national Greek television [76][77] and in the national business newspaper Ependitis.[78] According to Defkalion and Rossi the agreement gives exclusive rights for Defkalion to manufacture and sell the Energy Catalyzer throughout Greece.[74] Until the October date rolls around, I'm going to remain optimistic. A company, that claims to build a new factory for it, but they don't have a single open job position. Very serious(tm).

Where is the adress of their factory? Why are there no photos of the constructioning?

This better not be an elaborated hoax as Rossi sold tons of e-cats to Greece. I don't have to remind you the economical situation the greece is in, but if this invention happen to REALLY work as they say; this is gonna be the most important invention since internet. I'm crossing my fingers really hard, I don't want mass delusion on this one. Also to note :Energy cartels are ruling the world right now, they won't let their supremacy get destroyed by some man and an invention that isn't even explainable with our curent physic understanding. Here is a very interesting and educative talk about the topic : http://www.youtube.com/user/AlienScientist#p/u/2/FJ9DXAJudmg I'm really curious and I'm gonna continue to follow this case.

This thread is about the "energy catalyzer" (aka e-cat). It's (supposedly) a commercially viable "cold fusion" reactor (although it's apparently not really fusion, but LENR). It is either fusion, or it isn't. It can't be "not really fusion." Either nuclei are being fused together, or they are not. Which is it? The e-cat is a small (50 cc volume) reactor that carries out a poorly understood nickel-hydrogen reaction to create large amounts of heat That's the part I don't buy. There have been many inventions that have been made by accident, without really understanding the mechanisms behind it. But in modern society, that sort of thing is becoming rarer and rarer. The likelihood of someone stumbling on to some way to produce fusion without knowing how they do it (ie: having some understanding of the physics behind it) is simply too remote for me to buy without some evidence. I'd certainly like it to be true. But it seems too unlikely to lay any hopes on at this point.

When you got a nobel prize for one special part, it does not mean you have knowledge of other kinds of physics. Josephson is already know for talking shit. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brian_David_Josephson#Parapsychology Also look at his publications, after 1965 he has not published anything about physics, only religious comments.
