The only reason to ever wear them is someone gifted you some exquisite cufflinks
Regarding the size discussion earlier, i was using the sizes: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clothing_sizes#Germanic_sizes_.28AT.2FDE.2FNL.2FDK.2FSE.2FFI.29 where 101 chest is obviously the border between 50 and 52 as i said..
Not sure what sizes or measurements you are using, and i don't consider the ones i used to be the ultimate arbiters of truth. I hope that clears that up. My original point was that with my 86 chestsize i would need about 4 years of hard work and regular weightlifting to come close to the "normal" lookbook model i posted. So men don't automatically have it easy to be fashion appropriate..

Hmm, you're probably not 1,90m tall if you have that chest circumference, like the guy on the picture. I mean you gotta translate that to your height to keep the proportions about the same, that's what I do personally.
|
yeah i am only 186cm, so staying with the proportions it schould be about 99cm chest
|
Haha shit, I thought you would be much shorter. So yeah, you probably would have to have about the same chest size to replicate the silouhette :/
|
well if i dont care about sleeve-lengths a 46 has a nice fit on the upper torso
|
Generally speaking we refer to Italian sizing when talking fashion on teh internet which is just above in the link you posted. 46 = S, 48= M, 50 = L, etc.
You also have to remember that different brands fit differently, so a pole from joop will fit differently to uniqlo which will fit differently to lacoste or something. Gotta shop around to find that best fit.
Unrelated: I did cop that wallet I posted a couple of pages back. I like it a lot, the leather is really nice. It's a single piece folded over so a bit thicker than a normal cardholder but that just leaves more space in the inner compartment.

I copped some sick puke patina for my raw jawnz last night. Only cost me like 50 bucks and my dignity.

Random fashion thoughts:
My experience of wearing geobaskets has basically been fob asian kids looking at me weird but too awkward to say anything. And I feel like I'm becoming one of them by stunting on their ugly balenciagas. Geos are nice sneakers but I just can't shake off the feeling of fuccbois and nouveau riche when I wear them. I'd rather people who actually care about clothes recognize my shit, or perhaps not be recognizable at all. I'm really not trying to give off a vibe of dressing to stunt, but it's sometimes inevitable. Was planning on getting a RO jacket for spring to go with geos cuz I feel like the Rick silhouette contrasts nicely with all the skinny bottom halves I see, but it' also fairly relaxed and lowkey cuz of sweatpants and black. And I can wear it everyday and not have to think too much. I like having uniforms which allow for slight variation but don't require like laying out your clothes on the bed to figure out what goes with what.
This is my winter <20 degree farenheit uniform, which has been nearly everyday. Uniqlo scarf/JJVE top/Veillance coat/Zamb stretch DNAs/AnnDs/Cote&Ciel backpack

I don't think I've ever seen a 1500 Euro knit except Elder Statesman which uses mostly cashmere and are a different kind of company. Even Label Under Construction tops out at around 1k. Would be interesting to how the collection sells and how much cool factor he has, and how rich his fans are. It's a rather weird price range that only artisan labels occupy. I don't even think SLP is that pricey in general.

i would just like to reiterate
Because I’m only concerned with making beautiful products available to as many people as possible … The least I could do is spend my time trying to give other people a piece of the so-called good life. Everyone should have the good life. It’s like [Amancio] Ortega [founder of Zara] and H&M group. Before that happened, you could tell who came from money, who didn’t, who had a bigger paycheck, who didn’t. It was about separation and I think high fashion is about elitism and separation, and I am completely opposed to that … [though] I’ll still go to crash the Saint Laurent fashion show so I can be closer to the genius that Hedi [Slimane] has, even if the prices aren’t genius, even though the prices are completely unfair. that 2k adidas overcoat tho livin the good life

I have a very basic fashion question.. I'm looking for some casual footwear to go with dark jeans and polo kind of look. What is the shoe style to get? I have a size 15 US foot so please consider that as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
|
if you have size 15 US feet you should just wear whatever you can find that fits you and not worry about fashion

I don't think I've ever seen a size 15 in online stores, wow. Gonna be difficult to find something for those
|
You'd probably have to find companies that will take custom orders. Won't be cheap though. I've only ever seen one brand that carried sz 14, let alone 15. Maybe do some research on where basketball players get their shoes from?
