I just want to throw in that most phobias are quite easy to get rid off. Of course it depends on the type and how serious it is, but there is a high success rate with short-term CBT-therapy (a couple of sessions, few hours) for many phobias.
The more specific thing and limited to specific situations it is the better, but other phobias can be treated as well of course.

I have a a fear about my feet hanging off the end of my bed for any reason . I feel like something is about to grab them and it scares the shit outta me. I actually had to put my mattress on the floor so i could have my feet touch the ground so i know for sure nothing will grab them. Also I have a fear of furnace rooms with concrete floors its fucking weird man i feel like ill never be warm again when i touch the concrete floor.

I'm scared of cute women. Whenever I'm in the presence of an attractive female, my face turns bright red and I am overwhelmed by awkwardness.

I have a fear of driving. When I took my license I just thought I was nervous because of being so inexperienced.
But I have realized it's a phobia. I reckon it has to do with the big responsibility driving a car is.
The ironic thing is, I'm actually a very very good driver the few times I venture into traffic, but I'm super uncomfortable.

I have this but I just think that it is nerves more than anything but I'm not sure to the degree that your fear goes to so I cant know If its the same sort of fear that I have.
I have a phobia of my photo being taken. I just go itchy all over and my eyes become bloodshot and teary so I burnt all the photos of me that I own so I didn't have to think about it.

I was wondering for AGES what fear my GF had and i read trypophobia here and i knew right away that was it. Shes delighted now cause she always thought she was weird (didnt help me laughing and calling her weird all the time too :D ). She also has the sequence thing where she has to do something 4 times and she also reacts differently to different words. Example: If i say saturday sunday shes fine, but if i say taturday, tunday she freaks out and has to move her body in a certain way. I have no idea what this is but she says certain words freak her out and she has to move that certain way. Also some words make her nauseous.
She also sees colours around people and sees colours for different words. In fact now that i think about it colours have a huge impact on her as well. She cannot look at a building if it is a certain colour of blue or red for example as it scares her.
She is easily the weirdest person i ever met. Probably why I love her
EDIT: Completely forgot to mention shes scared of sequences and also the space in between peoples fingers. So if you put your hand up with your fingers separated she cant look at it and it will make her sick. If your hand is closed shes fine. You would not believe the amount of times this happens without realizing it lol.

Fear not - that's normal.
A colleague's mum is afraid of bananas - smell, taste, appearance.

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder can get worse, and can be a truly crippling condition. Anyone who thinks they might have it should seek professional help asap. Same with any phobia that is so strong or common that it inhibits you.

Not 100% sure its a phobia, but I really really dislike chalk and chalkboards, to the point that I never ever want to write using it.

As long as her obsessive compulsive behavior isn't interfering in her ability to function she's fine... but if it is, yea def talk to a Doctor about it.
More interestingly it sounds like she has synesthesia. Its when one sensory input- hearing a word- causes stimulation of another sense - seeing a color- i think its pretty neat. eddie van halen has it too! ^^

Except for when this damn eel from the Super Mario 64 course, Jolly Roger Bay, shows its face. In general I'm not very fond of deep sea creatures lol, pretty sure it originates from this. When I as a kid was on vacation in France once I felt uneasy swimming in the indoor pool, because it was dark, and I was worried a shark or something would come get me. x) rofl wtf Lmao I used to be terrified of this damn thing. Dude I was so little back in the day playing the 64 at my grandparent's house (they had a 64 and I did not). I used to suck at that game, so I couldn't get past the first Bowser lol I didn't know how to grab his tale, or even read very well to see the instructions. So I was stuck in the first room with the few easy levels, and the water one was so terrifying. That door over on the right side of the room... OMG it was so terrifying to try to do the level to get the star when the ship was sunken. I can remember mustering courage to get the eel out of the window and when it reached out and roared I remember running away and crying ;;
I did not go into that level until years later when I just recently bought a 64 and the game ahhaha.
[Edit] Here it is...

I can stand seeing someone get a surgery or seeing someones guts fall out on some action movie or something. But when I'm sitting in; say, a biology class for example, and the teacher starts explaining stuff about stuff in the blood and how it works such as certain diseases and stuff, I start to cringe and at one point my vision started to fade and I began to get light headed and see colors. I even get a little queasy just writing about it, we had a chemistry test about converting units and stuff, and one of the questions was measuring the units of something in the blood, I had to viciously mark through every instance of the word blood in the question.
Every shot I've ever had, I've either passed out, or gotten close to it. When we had hepatitis shots in middle school, I fainted in front of my entire class that was lined up after I got it. Never gotten my blood drawn before; and have no idea how I will deal with it if I ever have to. Oh man I'm exactly the same on both accounts. I'm fine with gore but I can't stand lectures on brain aneurysms... I'm trying to catch myself doing it to practice feeling relaxed or detached and get rid of this malaise. I passed out from shots and blood tests even if never felt disgusted, fear or any signicant pain during the procedure. I now have a have a slight aversion to shots because of these experiences.

I have a rather strange phobia of polyurethane foam. I cannot stand to touch it and even being near it/looking at it makes my skin crawl. I also have what is probably some minor form of OCD in that I absolutely have to know what time it is constantly. I can't stand to not be around a clock of some form, and have no less than 4 at all times in my room.

I am scared of peas, if I see them in a dish I will literally not touch nor eat that dish. Weird considering I eat almost anything else including century eggs, durians, and many many types of offal.

Hahaha I'll never know why but I have a fear of hotel showers for some reason. Or just any shower that I'm not used to using in general.
|
Well, I guess disliking dark is pretty common. Not as far as fearing them, but I feel uncomfortable when I can't see whats in front of me (Although my room is almost always lights off...). 2nd pretty common is hating needless. When I was younger one day I had to give like 10 blood tests the same day. No idea why they couldn't take them all at once... Some sort of allergy test, didn't hurt at all, but somehow I started to disliking needless after it. 3rd, probably much more rare is that I always feel that I often feel that I'm gonna knock a glass/some other down from table even though my hands aren't even near it and I'm not moving them. Somehow I just can't help but think that it's magically going to fall.
And. my god, cutting eyeballs with paper...

Well, a malfunctioning shower can kill you. Literally. A few years ago, two Swedish young adults died in Thailand when there was a malfunction at the hotel and the water from the shower became electrified.

Since around 9/11 2011 (i think it began this date), i have not really a phobia, but generalized anxiety, which i feel as phobias.
Although it began in septembre 2011, in my conscious mind, it isn't related to 9/11 attacks, i wasn't ultra-shocked or whatever, i didn't cry, feel afraid or so when it happened. But it might not be a coincidence !
SO it began by the fear of loud jet sounds. Many planes were passing above my high school everyday, and every time i heard the sound of plane reactors, i had a panic attack, thinking it was a nuclear bomb, or the earth exploding, or whatever cataclysmic. It lasted for years and was very hard to endure (i always had the need to flee, to hide, and i was always putting my hands on my ears in order to not hear the sounds anymore, which made me look stupid in class or in the street...)
I actually still have panic attacks (around 4-5 a week) thinking a cataclysm may be happening....
The phobia since then has changed a little and now i'm not only afraid of loud reactor sounds, but also of vibrations and sounds caused by other engines (train, trucks, etc when they are loud and unexpected). Also, every time i have a vertigo i panic... and panic -> adrenaline -> vertigo .........
A few laters (and a few years from now on) added to that phobia other phobias :
When the CERN LHC began experimenting, i began to be afraid of black holes, strangelets, etc, even if, being a scientist, i know it's safe. So i was always checking the horizon, to the south (i live just north to the LHC) if "something wasn't coming".
Finally, i'm often afraid that the sun would explode or disappear, or our planet would be swallowed by an errant black hole, etc...
All in all, my phobias all concern cataclysmic events i couldn't control nor prevent, and i think i know what any psychanalyst would deduce from that...
It's been about 10 years now that i endure those phobias, making half a dozen panic attacks a week. I deal with it, hoping it will disappear one day (i heard this kind of problems can disappear around the age of 30).
