Plates that are completely white with no design on them.
I'd rather starve than trying to eat something on a white plate with a non-rectangular fork/knife.

When I was younger, I always had to fulfill this random urge to do something like touch that piece of wood, or lift someting and then drop it, and I didn't feel comfortable until I did it. It eventually went away, but I still wonder about that. Also, when my teachers in school talk about anything involving the brain I feel a bit light-headed and my hands feel weak.

It does 80% sure I have this that's kind of a poor domain name since anxiety disorders aren't phobias (they can be, but phobia nomally means specific circumstances moreso than broader anxiety) but I'm also like 80% sure I got this as well. I got countless examples of anxious things I do because for no logical reason I think people would look at me funny + Show Spoiler + eg. when walking around I have an ipod to listen to but didn't want people to see me take it out of my pocket and have to fiddle with the earbuds so I waited for a small stretch of my walk where 0 people typically are (cutting between buildings) to take out my ipod and actually listen to it. on a 15-20 minute walking path it was typically 5-8 minutes into the walk before I reached that spot. Though walking the other direction I could start at my room! edit: same thing with phone calls, I used that walk to call my parents sometimes but would wait until I was away from people to try to make a phone call and talk quieter whenever nearer to people actually I dunno what I "have" but I sure fucking hope for the sake of other people that other people don't suffer through these stupid things

Also, I'm scared walking on the outer side of sidewalks, especially when someone is beside me. I feel like he might push me, even if its a friend. However walking off the sidewalk is ok, though. I guess that little step is the problem. Weird.

It does 80% sure I have this This is likely an anxiety disorder (social anxiety disorder is sometimes referred to as social phobia), while some of you sound like you may have something such as obessesive compulsive disorder. That being said, you shouldn't self-diagnose, and if you think you may have a mood or anxiety disorder, it's best to talk to a doctor. There are many effective treatments available for a lot of these disorders, and sometimes the best remedy may be as simple as talking to someone about it (though I understand that this too may seem difficult). Keeping these feelings internalized is oftentimes the worst thing that you can do, and while it's good that you're discussing it here, none of us are truly qualified to evaluate your situations. As for specific phobias, they tend to be less problematic (depending on the extent to which the phobia interferes with your daily life/activities) and can generally be treated much easier. Still, consult a doctor if you're concerned. Personally, I have a mild blood/needle/injury phobia -- I get very lightheaded and sometimes pass out when I see relatively large amounts of my own blood or a big needle -- but since I'm rarely exposed to these things, it doesn't affect my daily life, and as a result, I haven't sought treatment. However, if I suspected that I had OCD or a social/generalized anxiety disorder, I would seek help, as these disoders not only can interfere with day-to-day living, but also worsen if left untreated.

Basically it occurs when I know something is supposed to be human or resemble a human, but the shape of their limbs or their figure are off. Zombies, Xenomorphs, Star Trek aliens and all sorts of monsters are totally fine with me - but the Elephant man, the guy with the underdeveloped hand in Scary Movie 2, E.T., the deformed guy in 300, and worst of all, the test tube subjects in Alien Resurrection all completely freak me out. The same goes for stumps, and human babies / animals with birth defects. No, you are just fearful of and mean to those who were unfortunate enough to be born different. Dysmorphophobia is a psychiatric disorder where you are preoccupied with a perceived defect in your appearance. Others cannot see the defect you think is there, but you are more or less convinced that it is, and that they are lying to spare your feelings.

- arachnophobia (fear of spiders) - trypophobia (fear of many tiny asymmetrical holes, such as beehives or the swarm host's back because they usually indicate an infestation which you don't want to mess with :p) - trypanophobia (needle phobia) - acrophobia (fear of heights) Thousands of years of avoiding these things in nature without having prior bad experiences with them have saved the lives of our ancestors. I know that most animals won't attack without warning but spider bites, snake bites and bee stings all hurt, so why wouldn't you want to avoid them.

I know that most animals won't attack without warning but spider bites, snake bites and bee stings all hurt, so why wouldn't you want to avoid them. You are right insofar as a lot of the more common phobias originate from a normal fear response, but they usually develop after a traumatic experience with the stimulus (ie classical conditioning). The only other and far less common ways to develop a fear response to a stimulus other than conditioning are vicarious and instructional fear acquisition, both of which are learned responses, and therefore cannot be hard-wired. Secondly, phobias are an excessive or unreasonable response to a stimulus by definition, so the normally conditioned fear response to height of being slightly anxious does not qualify. It's only once you start having panic attacks or changing your daily lifestyle to avoid something irrational that it becomes a phobia. Normal fear responses are not phobias.
