Shows how damn short sighted you are when the people you're trying to help are unhappy with you. Honestly, the entire time I was thinking this. I didn't know if it was because I've been going over Imperialism and the, "White Man's Burden," alot, or if it was legit until now. When I watched the entire video all the way through, it looked so painfully and obviously marketed to some pseudo-activism, bored, white, ignorant americans who still view theirselves and their country as the world's police/guardian angels. I thought I was just being a cynical asshole, as no one else seemd to share the opinion.

He really went off the deep end You know, I was going to make some big dramatic post about how at first, I was almost fooled by this campaign, but now I know better, etc. But instead I found myself enthralled in weeping hilarity over this news... It's kind of tragic, to see this whole campaign, which I still believe has relatively good intentions, sink in such a fiasco, but there's just something dark-ly hilarious about this pure-hearted, christian, all-american family man who just wants to save the african children, getting caught masturbating and drunk off his ass in public. It's sad, but I can't help but find humor in it too.

The timing of this idiocy on his part couldn't have been worse, especially after just putting out this Kony 2012 video. Not to mention the fact the video is losing its good rep, especially with news of how Ugandans are really offended by it.

On one hand, we are seeing a fallacious organization finally demonstrating its true color of severe misrepresentation. One the other, this will brings much sophistication to the public on future donation event(s). Every time a new charity attempt get released, people will only remind themselves of the Kony 2012's epic failure. Programs with genuine intents will not receive the necessary fund needed. Well for new charity asking videos organizations needs to add more information about organization themselves, like how much goes to intended target charity and how it goes there (not going to army or something corrupt organization) etc

I think for the most part people who were skeptical were already aware of previous controversies anyway. And those who chases ideals will just move to the next trend. If you're just joining the dark and gloominess of real world now though, its important to note that if you want to continue donating and do good, you're just gonna have to be more aware more than ever about the action you're taking and put more thought in to it. Also important to not let things like this paralyze you from taking action. If you do then you're making zero difference. So expect to be burned from time to time. Its the reality of the world we live in.

And that is OK. Because you want an organization who has to WORK to gain trust and respectability.

But the point of the Kony 2012 is to market awareness/activism to bored, white ignorant americans. If you look at the other Invisible Children videos, they're way different and actually address the issues the Ugandans talk about. The first video actually shows the victims and their suffering. But the new Kony 2012 video wasn't to bring awareness to suffering, but to how a person that committed crimes against humanity is still free. So of course the Ugandans are going to be mad at the new video, but I'm pretty sure they'd be happier with the first video that Invisible Children released.

Actually, this is one of his previews videos, seems like an attempt to go viral but that did not work
