I second this motion. If we think that what Maxim is doing is the right thing for e-sports then we should be careful. If Maxim takes the Hot Bid thing as a joke and laughs over it, great. But I feel like there's a significant risk they might get pissed and conclude that the gaming community is not worth their while.

Voted for Hot_Bid but I still have 2 lingering questions. Who is that tradechat chick and why isn't the Summoners Show Case LoL chick not in this!!!!

Seriously, Anna Prosser fits this Maxim role pretty much exactly. You're allowed multiple votes, just vote for both of them. That way we can have our laugh, and then Anna can be a legitimate representative even if Hot_Bid is removed. Regardless of your feelings about her role in E-sports, it should be unanimously agreeable that she fits into this contest rather nicely.

i had to vote for hotbid no matter what, who cares bout the girl.... esports > girl

I don't think this counts as promoting esports.

Not like 99% of the other girls competing. And of course vote for Hot_Bid, just make sure you vote for Anna too. Shes not actually any good at games though why does being good matter? compared to a pro we are all shit. dont base your vote for anyone based on if they are actually good. base it on better criteria ;/ Why does looking good matter if we looking for an actually Gamer girl?
because thats what being female and on the internet has devolved into
if you got tits and a camera angle, you can be famous

Relax guys, Hot_bid cannt win. The fact hes the second leading vote getter is hilarious but you cannt compete with TradeChat. Her fans are rabid and the stuff shes promising for votes is nutz. + Show Spoiler [maybe NSFW?] +

Bigotry at its finest.

Kingston HyperX, a major sponsor of EG, along with various tournaments, community figures, and just about every one of us fans, is unable to stylise iNcontroL, and it's just about as nitpicky. This whole thing is a joke...none of those girls are what a gamer girl looks like, or who a gamer girl is. A gamer girl isn't an attention-seeking slut going "hey boys, look how nerdy i am xD", a gamer girl is a girl who plays games. Contests like this just make me mad. So for the love of god vote for HotBid. Totally agree, Maxim is just a misoginistic silly magazine, I personally would be a ashame of having a spotlight in that magazine. Besides, is a magazine for men, so maybe its fair a man win that contest? HotBid FTW!

Hahahah Hot_Bid. You are a god amongst men.

More accurately, right now he's a man amongst women. We need some support from a big personality like Artosis/Day[9]/TB to overcome TradeChat.
We need to combat one legion of fans... With another legion of fans.

Maxim and "the right thing for e-sports" are so far seperated that I don't know why people are mentioning them.
There's a small chance if you play this off perfectly that Maxim might get "interested" or have a look at esports but seriously, this is a joke.
It's a contest of who's got the least clothes in their photos. Most of the about mes are Call of Duty MW3, Skyrim and another FotM game.
The person in first place is offering to release pictures from her bikini photoshoot if she wins, not mentioning she'll video her dancing in some rainbow fluffy outfit too.
The only person that looked remotely legit was the person that I saw mentioned Conkers Bad Fur Day as one of their favourite games because I doubt any people who try to "pretend" to be a gamer would know about it.
Don't take it seriously but still vote for Anna and Hotbid because if anyone could turn this around into something positive however slim for us it'd be her

Maxim is trying to promote e-sport, and TL is essentially trying to troll them. This seems counter productive to the idea of bringing e-Spoirts to the mainstream.

Yeah, about the actual contest, it's a complete joke, and I think Hot_Bid's participation reflects this perfectly. Most of the top profiles are just almost Copy paste-ish messages about how they play MW3 or some other FotM stuff that a lot of non-gamers know about.
On that note, though, if I were to ascribe a shred of legitimacy to the competition, I would hope for Anna to be the victor.
