I hope we will see Mara Jade though, could be fun :D Honestly I think that Luke, Leia and Han won't be main characters and most likely only have sparse appearances

I don't think they should mess with the already completed story, but rather create a new story line... Same universe, completely different time, either way before or way after what we've seen already? I'd love to see that.

they can always go the sorta mengsk like route with the whole, the empire is now destroyed but the rebelilion turns out to be just as bad as the empire. or like a new guy starts an empire I agree that could be a really good episode 7 direction

The Government that the Rebellion forms becomes strongly reminiscent of the old Empire but is now called the Alliance. Pretty far into the future though (lots of interim republic governments, etc.)

http://www.theatlanticwire.com/entertainment/2012/11/can-guy-save-new-star-wars/59234/ - They've hired Lawrence Kasdan to write the scripts for the last two movies in the new trilogy. Why is this good news? Because this is the dude that co-wrote Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi with George Lucas.

Obi-Wan: "Only a Sith deals in absolutes." Anakin: "...So wait, is that absolute?" Obi-Wan: "What?" Anakin: "You said only a Sith deals in absolutes. So are you a Sith, or does that absolute not count?" Obi-Wan: "....You know, I never thought about that..." Anakin: "What about Yoda? He said if Luke falls to the dark side, forever would it dominate his destiny. That sounds pretty absolute too." Obi-Wan: "Huh.... I guess... sometimes a Sith will deal in absolutes!" Anakin: (facepalms) "Dude, just tell Lucas to not be the scriptwriter this time." Reminds me of that cracked article on how writers attempts to make smart characters say smart things doesn't always work (because the writers themselves, may not be as smart as said character). I'm glad for once, we have QQ over the original rather than the "original is the best!" thing going on (with tons of series). Makes things refreshing. Also funny thing, Chris Metzen made the stories and universe for Diablo (yes, he did Diablo too even though it was Blizzard North's game), StarCraft, and WarCraft... but now everyone is like D3, SC2, WoW (Horde favoritism!)'s story sux (still Chris Metzen guys, the same guy who brought you epic stories from SC1BW, to WC1-3).

Starcraft actually suffers from this "lucas syndrome" in its sequal, turning from an awesome story between 3 waring factions which contained many great story elements and lessons into "omg i forsee the end of the universeeeee!!!" x_x I can't comment on wc's story as it's the one blizz game i never got into. However, the diablo storyline isn't as badly done in d3. They actually kept a lot of the original story elements, albeit writting a brand new character into the game only for her to be a sacrifice is kind of poor writing....but at least it's better than twilight.

A new report says that the director for Star Wars: Episode VII has been found and it’s none other than J.J. Abrams. The Wrap is reporting the huge news, saying that Abrams has agreed to direct the highly-anticipated film (to say the least) after months of being courted by new Lucasfilm head Kathleen Kennedy. Just last month, Abrams specifically said he was not going to do the film (indicating he had been asked), but as The Wrap puts it, “The lure of the Jedi was too strong.”
