This. I think it's funny, actually, that Democrats try to pretend it's serious. If Clooney or Harvey Weinstein tried to run on some crazy platform they would get the same ℅. They just get to make money doing propaganda and PR in Hollywood instead.
Crazier things have happened in America. Like having a professional wrestler become Governor of Minnesota (Jesse Ventura) Or a talk show host become Mayor of Cincinnati Ohio (Jerry Springer) or a Australian action hero become Governor of California (Arnold) and having an actor become President of the United States (Ronald Reagen)

Anything can happen around here..were crazy :p
Troll or genuinely clueless? I particularly like how the final two aren't two actors, and bodybuilding isn't really mentioned!
Of course now I'm picturing the Governator with an Australian accent. I'll be back, mate.

Also Reagan was head of SAG, which is what have him the cred to run for office to begin with. Its kind of silly to paint them as random occurrences. Trump's "runs" just happened to start when his show became less popular.

Also Jerry Springer was in politics BEFORE doing the talk show.
The body was a former pro wrestler (and actor) that became our Governor though. You got that part right at least. But he was the mayor of Brooklyn Park, a suburb of Minneapolis, before being governor so he was in politics.
Huckabee's dead last in my book of preferred candidates, but good bait for single-issue social conservative and the old Jimmy Carter supporters. Jeb & Trump finish up the rear, though I don't know in what order. I doubt any of the three will become the Republican presidential candidate.

Jeb is probably the favorite over the other major candidates due to having both by far the most money and not having had any real crazy things said in the past that can come back to bite you like the rest have.

Pretty much agree with you. There isn't even any reason to support Huckabee. What does he have over anyone else? There is more to politics than abortion and gay marriage.
Though I would say Jeb has a decent chance of being the nominee, so more focus should be put on him.

I'd be hesitant to bet against Jeb at this point. There's a chance he flubs and somebody else takes it, but he's a better campaigner than Walker, more sensible than Huckabee/Cruz/Trump/Zawahiri, and much better funded/supported than Kasich or Rubio. Somebody else could win, but they'd have to overcome their personal weaknesses pretty convincingly. Walker has the easiest path to this (stop flubbing everything), but even Christie could do it with enough charisma and determination. Kasich and Rubio could capitalize on a screw-up by Jeb, but probably can't do it otherwise.
NASHUA, N.H. (AP) — Rand Paul lashed out Saturday at military hawks in the Republican Party in a clash over foreign policy dividing the packed GOP presidential field.
Paul, a first-term senator from Kentucky who favors a smaller U.S. footprint in the world, said that some of his Republican colleagues would do more harm in international affairs than would leading Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton.
"The other Republicans will criticize the president and Hillary Clinton for their foreign policy, but they would just have done the same thing — just 10 times over," Paul said on the closing day of a New Hampshire GOP conference that brought about 20 presidential prospects to the first-in-the-nation primary state.
"There's a group of folks in our party who would have troops in six countries right now, maybe more," Paul said.
Foreign policy looms large in the presidential race as the U.S. struggles to resolve diplomatic and military conflicts across the globe.
The GOP presidential class regularly rails against President Barack Obama's leadership on the world stage, yet some would-be contenders have yet to articulate their own positions, while others offered sharply different visions.
Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, whose brother, President George W. Bush, authorized the 2003 invasion of Iraq, declined to say whether he would have done anything different then. Yet Jeb Bush acknowledged a shift in his party against new military action abroad.
"Our enemies need to fear us, a little bit, just enough for them to deter the actions that create insecurity," Bush said earlier in the conference. He said restoring alliances "that will create less likelihood of America's boots on the ground has to be the priority, the first priority of the next president."
The GOP's hawks were well represented at the event, led by Florida Sen. Marco Rubio and several lesser-known White House prospects.

I think the Repub candidacy is going to come down to Bush and Paul. Cruz is way too crazy; he may be popular with the religious right, but the party knows he's got 0 chance at the presidency. Huckabee is only a little less crazy. Trump's not a real candidate, he's in it for the publicity. He'll say 1-3 inflammatory things to drum up ratings for The Apprentice, and then disappear again. Christie ruined any good image he had from Hurricane Sandy with the whole bridge fiasco. And again with the dispute with NYC's Port Authority. He'll be lucky to even have another gubernatorial term, let alone presidential.
Bush has a good chance to be president if he can win the Republican candidacy. Paul's got less chance at the presidency, but a better shot at the candidacy.
I didn't realize huckabee had so much crazy, watching part of the republican leadership summit on cspan. Some "fair tax" nonsense that would remove the income tax entirely, and so many other things that just don't stand up to scrutiny at all.
I really wish all our politicians had to speak under oath at all times (under penalty of perjury). That'd help clean up the discourse some if they couldn't blatantly knowingly lie without consequence.

Don't get me wrong, I like many of Paul's positions (certainly not all) but he's way more out of the mainstream than Cruz. Cruz is crazy for an American, but does represent a large wing of the Republican party, and has similar policy positions to much of the rest of the party. Paul is dramatically different from the rest of the Republican party and will wage a campaign that will be lucky to win converts to the message, but stands no chance at getting the nomination. Best case, he lands second place. More likely is 3rd behind the conservative and the moderate.

I was joking with Trump, hence my juxtoposition with Zawahiri, who would have about the same chances of winning the nomination. Huckabee isn't a joke, but is has no chance of winning due to his small base of support, despite his winning smile.

Yeah, Christie would take a miracle. It could happen, but would require perfect debate performances and the implosions of other moderate candidates.

Bush is the odds-on favorite for both. Walker probably second. Paul is an issues candidate, not a realistic possibility.
Why is no one talking about the real issues here? Your all jerking off this candidate vs that candidate. Your being made fools of by leftist Identity politics and conservative fear mongering.
Right fucking now in this country the government is forcing people like myself to have our children injected with UNTESTED and UNVERIFIABLE CHEMICALS. We are living in a dystopia. Why does no one seem to care? You are all chowing down on bread at the circus and all around you the country is sinking into authoritarian statist dystopia. The police are militarized and they are forcing good god fearing parents like me to inject my son with something that has a chance to make him very sick and a chance to give him developmental disorders. Why is this not on the front page of every major newspaper in the world every day?
I am currently trying to find the money to take my child out of public school before the next school year. I will have to make many sacrifices but I at-least care about the future of this countries children.
