Is there something more to it than that though? he is painted in both good and bad light. most people believe he did what was dirty and ugly but necessary for korea to develop. some people here seems to be confusing park jung hee with chun du hwan, chun du hwan came after park and he is a major scum of the earth and i have no idea why anyone hasnt tried to (or succeed) assassinate that fool. i can't speak on details as i'm not that knowledgeable but from what i understand, park jung hee's dictatorship (which he thought was necessary for korea to grow) was the start of korea's economic improvement.

If Sweden was a part of the US after WW2, most of you would be in terrible trouble lol (may be a stupid analogy to some, but it makes perfect sense). I like Sweden's naive opinions, and I like how they actually work in Sweden. It would be nice if they worked in the rest of the world right? But honestly, you are the weird ones. Your politics don't work anywhere else in the world, so your opinions will never be more than interesting humor for most. It's not that you're the only one who thinks equality is a nice thing, it's that you're the only ones with leaders who don't care about ruling over their people, rather than leading their people. Of course we all think equality would be great, but we won't get it. Please don't be so arrogant to think you yourselves have better opinions, we just happen to live in different countries. I suggest you work hard to make sure Sweden stays the way it is. This is an interesting thread though. Thanks for sharing about your thoughts regarding recent S Korean politics. Can someone ban this guy for ridiculous assertions on Swedish governing and their general people or is that to rash, maybe a warn? "if Sweden was a part of the US after WW2, most of you would be in terrible trouble" I like Sweden's naive opinions, and I like how they actually work in Sweden. you are the weird ones. Your politics don't work anywhere else in the world, so your opinions will never be more than interesting humor for most. with leaders who don't care about ruling over their people, rather than leading their people don't be so arrogant to think you yourselves have better opinions, we just happen to live in different countries. I went ahead and quoted the worst parts... Firstly, you go on to say 'naive' opinions and then commend them for doing things as you would enjoy, equality etc... Then you said they're weird for it... Now that they have advanced politics and governing body (Nordic countries are the most advanced on earth for human development I might add) you then say their opinions are "interesting humor for most"?... Following this ridiculous line of statements then you go on to say they have the only leaders (elected) aimed at not ruling over people but leading their people, so again their country is more advanced? what are you saying, they elect people that aren't debating gay rights anymore because they realized that's a non-issue? what is this and remember, this is naive and a humorous position from your previous statements of Swedes, which is a telling contradiction since you then go on to say you're (and everyone apparently) is for equality)... Then you say 'don't think yourselves have better opinions', not to be a sentence nazi but that there is a sentence fragment but if that was the only thing, I wouldn't mention it. Here's an example, though, of why I must mention it. Do you think you have morally and ethically better and more accurate opinions than that of Saudi Arabia or Iran when it comes to Human Development and equality (especially women rights)? Obviously, or you're to dense to get that far, so is a good argument "well no... we live in different countries silly!!! So of course your opinion that women shouldn't be beheaded for capital punishments isn't better!!!!"? The answer, in case you are debating it, is no... So much went terribly wrong, I would like if you just kept such ridiculous assertions and statements from condemning one of the best places on earth to live. And no, I'm no Swede nor am I Nordic in origin but you embarrass yourself when you speak of them in such a manner.

But they never would have guess that one immature 20 year old girl would be their bane. I found this part interesting: "When PGH was competing against Lee MB in the GNP primaries back in 2007, Lee's side insinuated very strongly that PGH's relationship with the former paster Choi is a salaciously scandalous one. Lee won and eventually went onto become the president. When PGH became president in 2012, PGH surprisingly didn't do anything to investigate Lee's corruptions after she became president. It had been a staple of Korean politics for the sitting president to investigate at least some of the previous president's dealings, in order to boost the public approval rating. However PGH hasn't done any substantial investigation on Lee. This was extra surprising because Lee was quite possibly the most talked about president in terms of corruption. Thus the whispers began to get louder that Lee has some excellent dirt on PGH, so much so that even as the current president, she couldn't go after Lee because Lee could bring her down at any moment. The amount of control Choi must've had on Park is unreal. Wonder what it was. Blackmail? I can speak to your mother? there has to be something there. The monetary value isn't really what's big in my eyes, it's the level of control. Then there was the ferry incident. I'm not sure what I think there but is it plausible that the children were sacrificed? Crazy rumour I know but with this whole cult and shamanic ritual bit, guess there is always a small possibility. Hopefully, it wasn't the case.

there is no rationality behind any of her actions tbh. she had nothing to gain from all this and everything to lose, yet she went forward with her actions anyway. that kind of shit only happens if youre a brainwashed puppet, like someone under hypnosis

Wow. The descriptions of the political climate are interesting too. Curious what the people who supported her are thinking now. With single digit approval I imagine they aren't pleased, but I am curious why. EDIT: Figured there be another place for this but saw this get bumped. The title seems not to have aged well though.
