Rd 19: White: Mamedov Black: Carlsen Carlsen had just played 27. ... g5? preparing the trap 28. hxg5? This opens the h file and gives Carlsen access to the king 28. ... Qxg5 29. Bh3 Rh6 30. Ng6+? This was the actual trap, Mamedov fell for it 30. ... Qxg6 31. Rxf8 Qh5! A double attack on Bishop and rook 32. Qg2? Qxd1 33. Qa8? 33. ... Ng4+! and mate is unavoidable | ||
