France has become an increasingly barbaric and depressing country. The people here are sick to the head, it's a cultural thing. I used to get sad about being bashed for being French (it's happened before when I lived in the USA) during the Iraq war. Now I've come to realize that French bashing is probably entirely justified. It makes me a little numb inside to realize that I'm actually a part of this shit country.

A pact that helped the tech giants and others send personal data from the EU to the US has been ruled invalid. The European Court of Justice said that the Safe Harbour agreement did not eliminate the need for local privacy watchdogs to check US firms were taking adequate data protection measures. It added that the ruling meant Ireland's regulator now needed to decide whether Facebook's EU-to-US transfers should be suspended. www.bbc.com I'm not sure how big of a deal this actually is, but I think it is interesting in the light of the TTIP negatiations.

You hate your country deep down because we're so bad and all, "it's cultural". "We" are guilty, whatever it is, even we do the right thing (iraq ?). God damn how stupid those arguments are. Two guy get their shirt destroyed and suddenly it's our entirely culture that is barbaric. 67 million people and a few hundred years of history resumed in one argument over 5000 people getting fired that sadly lead to the end of that poor shirt's life. Please, leave the country and go see how civilized other countries are. Do yourself a favor.

Well pleaes, enlighten me, how does this help anyone? You might also want to talk about the Taxidrivers that smashed Uber-Cars or the employees that Held their CEO (or whatever higher up position it was) hostage. Because then its not just a Shirt anymore and these are incidents that happened for a while. Btw: Protesting is totally ok in my book. Farmers/Taxidrivers blockading stuff = Ok. Treatening People obviously not, destroying cars obviously not too.

Me saying that germany as a whole accept too much in terms of wage and labor does not mean that I desire german's to lynch their boss (If I recall, the exemple back then was burning a car, and yes I'm perfectly okay with burning some cars to show discontent - or trashing down an office like the "conti" did some years ago). And I never said it was a "cultural" weakness, nor that it entirely define the german culture as a whole, I just stated it as an opinion. And I don't really know why I should talk about the taxi drivers ? What's the link ? How many social conflict in France that had no physical agression or even verbal agression ? Why don't you talk about these a little ?

and yes I'm perfectly okay with burning some cars to show discontent In the same post as: Can you point me a post where I said lynching anyone is good ? Is sort of hilarious. You were the one talking about lynching. Me (and others) were just not ok with people smashing stuff and treatening people. I remember quite clearly how you said Germans have no political/democratic culture because they don't run out on the streats raising hell when the goverment does something that could/will hurt them a bit.

Stripping someone (an angry mob trying to strip you, is not just a damn t-shirt ffs), destroying cars or holding someone hostage are basically the same thing (albeit some are clearly worse than others). I dont't believe lynching is the same as burning cars or sequestrating someone at all ? Nor did I say that germany have no political "culture" (whatever that is ?). I remember perfectly quoting Marx saying that germany is the country of philosophy and france the country of politics. That s it, after that i argued that the social movement is too quiet in germany and I still believe the same. You're twisting my words, and responding to thing I did not say. Somehow one scuffle in air france means france has a barbaric culture. Maybe there is indeed a problem of relationship between the top and the base in France - and maybe what happened in air france is an extraordinary exemple of that. That doesn't mean that germany's social situation is better (the Highest growing economy in the euro zone also has a huge increase in poverty rate and no increase in wage is not good to me at all - all in all in our barbaric violence we somehow seems to achieve more) nor that our "culture" is "barbaric".

Maybe some go over the top now and then but well their ancestors did the French revolution so I think the vibe is still present today and it's part of French culture. This guy whose shirt got torn may have ruined thousand of peoples lifes through his actions. Sometimes people like him live in a bubble where they think they are untouchable and now and then why not bring them back to reality.

You seem to be really close to arguing for mob justice and straight up lynchings being ok. Is this actually what you are arguing?

Why not kill his daughter? Where does it stop - and who's to judge what the right amount of "lynching" is - you? Do you even read what you're typing, or do you just think it's fun to use "words"? The french go on the streets for anything. In fact, people in germany go on the streets as well, they just don't form lynchmobs. It's fun though, since you apparently already have forgotten (conveniently) the huge inconveniences of pilot strikes, or the GDL "drama" that costed (literally) billions? People DO go on the streets, they just don't go retarded, burn cars, "lynch" people - and assume that it's totally fine.

And I don't see how you can compare lynching and shirt tearing. Or burning his house and shirt tearing. Omg poor guy. How much does he earn at Air France? 1 Mio (just guessing)? He will be able to buy a new shirt. And like the French people said the person who tore it will probably get sued. For me it's all okay.

We used to go on strike for no reasons in 1960-70s... But well. 2) the difference between trashing a place, burning a car and attacking someone is moral. In a scale of value, I place men higher than goods. You don't seem to, that's your choice.
