Not sure if Liquid is trying to be an Esports club or an Esports hub, though. If the former, all the power to you, pick up more teams/players and make sure that bank account can follow. If the latter, well, then Liquid still has a long ways to go before people stop seeing it as a Liquid fansite. In Starcraft I don't think it's uncommon to be active here and don't like Liquid players at all.. I mean, what are all those "favourite team" icons for if it were all TL fans? :pP In Starcraft TL.net was basically the go-to resource for anyone. In all their expansion sites, the only users are basically TL.net users who liked the other games, with very little appeal to outside communities. The TeamLiquid umbrella is basically "that Starcraft site" or "that site for Team Liquid fans".

I hope they do well for liquid tho, looks like some good times ahead. That's surprising, since CS has such a massive viewerbase. They've hit huge numbers for their latest tournies, dwarfing SC2 (which I find very enjoyable to watch). The only problem with spectating CS is that it's so hard to get new people into it. SC2 is easy for a layperson at a barcraft to observe. Sure, they don't know everything going on but it's pretty easy to tell when armies are fighting, and if one base is getting blown up by lasers that's bad. In CS, if you're not paying 100% attention then you will miss most of the important parts. One thing got me into watching CS and that was IEM. They had 1 match of CS and then Wc3. Didn't want to miss the Wc3 part so turned in early and slowly got interested into watching CS as well. Now it feels like everything is going on at the same time, so I stick to my shoes.
