Not sure if anyone remembers, but last year I grew some pot plants with my neighbour; this year we did again, though they don't seem to be sprouting as many buds this year as they did last year. Some plants and some parts of the plants just seem to be growing seeds. The seeds we planted this year are different seeds than last years as well as from a different provider, so I'm not surprised, but I was actually expecting a better harvest. Not a big deal though as I just smoke very casually. I don't have a camera or I'd upload some pictures... maybe I can get a hold of one by the time we start actually harvesting.

As hearthbreaking as it can be, you gotta uproot/kill undesirable plants at the beginning of flowering stage or they will ruin your harvest.

Feminised seeds dont turn out male so you dont end up having bad luck and mostly useless plants, BUT feminised seeds can turn out to be hermaphrodite plants, as aero said. If your new to growing its really easy to mistakenly think its just a female plant, and that little fucker will have a go at ur females and secretly knock em up . The problem isnt even only that you dont have as much bud as last time, the plants dont focus on producing thc fully any more, they make seeds, you could consider harvesting them a bit earlier than usual.

Part 1: Drums in the Deep "It looks like the big cigar hunt is over," He said with a grin. "There are many!" A thousand voices, opined. "There can be only one world," He replied. "Now there are many, but soon there will be only one." A shuffling of feet could be heard amid the din. "Wait and you'll see," His voice continued. Fuel burns fast in these parts, and there is little light. What torches there were have long since burnt to cinders. Those who lurk in the shadows have become them themselves. Like a lute played upon the water, there are many ripples, but only one true thread. Countless lay beneath the surface of the River Styx each with his own candle illuming the waters about him. Black eels slither amongst them who repose there stirring the water and silt, those waters no diver dares for fear of what he should find. Part 2: An Introduction to Command School What is Command School? For me, it has been HAL9000 and a “reroll”. In pen and paper RPGs, you reroll a new character when an old character dies. “I’ll take you down there,” my father said of Brian after my sojourn in the Psych Ward. Essentially, a reroll is when your Mana, Energy, or Spirit has been reduced to 0/100, and your parents take away all your gear. This is not an enjoyable experience. Our Mana, Spirit, or Sphere of Influence is intimately connected to our life line. For instance, a really powerful character, like a World Coordinator (Brave New World) has a really long lifeline. A World Coordinator might have 1,000 years of lifeline saved up. A memorable quote from my father is, “[Clint Eastwood] He walks in baby steps.” In other words, between himself and his progeny, Clint Eastwood probably has about 1,000 years of longevity working for him. You probably wonder how a Tobacco-smoking icon can be healthy and up and about at his age. Well, among other factors, a major one is Clint Eastwood has a very long lifeline. Suppose there were a single unit of currency that encompassed everything. Call this ‘Power’ or ‘Sphere of Influence’. Orson Scott Card elegantly breaks a being’s power down into ‘Voice’ and ‘Proximity’. Your Voice in the world is like your weight. If there’s a lot of weight behind your Voice, it’s like speaking into a microphone and broadcasting at a hundred ten decibels. I think of Proximity as your luck. Think of gunslingers in the West. At that crucial moment in a duel where “greased lightning” comes into play, there’s an element of skill yes, but really the victor is decided by luck. Not chance mind you, but luck. Do all the neurons in your brain fire in the correct succession? Do your nerves serve you well or betray you? Do you hit right between the eyes or miss entirely? Essentially it comes down to the will of the Universe. All, or at least most of this is contained in your lifeline. Hence my father’s quote about baby steps. This emphasis on one’s lifeline is in part why Aragorn’s line was so integral to Lord of the Rings. One can think of the world as an interwoven fabric of collaborating (or competing) destinies. Imagine ten points in space a thousand years from now. Those ten points are the destinies of ten World Coordinators in the United States. Now imagine a Triangle with one of its vertices at that point, ten thousand years from now, and its other two vertices in the present. You can think of a human’s destiny as a cone almost like a birthday hat with the big end in the present and the tip of the cone a thousand years in the future. Human destinies intermingle in one way or another. Our cones merge or collide. Either your descendants will walk the Earth in the year 3,000 or they won’t. This is why they say, “Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer.” (Read: ‘close’). Part 3: Possible Worlds and Extant Narratives So what is HAL9000? I have never seen a Space Odyssey so I can’t really comment. Alright, well seriously. HAL is a program devised by Brian (Charles’ Apprentice), and it’s the most annoying and fearful enemy in the Universe. There’s a lot of crazy shit around the world. Some of the craziest is in the Middle East (and this is a timely topic). Harems, Concubines, Hashish on tap, Shisha, Jafar, you name it. The situation in East Asia is not much different. Opium Dens, Hash Pipes, Ketamine, Ether or whatever the hell Ninjas used, all sorts of bizarre shit. Mexico and most places south of the border have yet another not so different story: Hash Pipes, Cocaine, Cigars, Meth, Drug Wars, hell on earth. In the United States and Europe we’ve got Meth, Crack, Hash, Tobacco, Ecstasy, etc. All these different underground, underworld cultures have their own histories. They have spheres of influence. This is what I mean by ‘extant’ or existing worlds. Because these cultures exist they occupy mind-space in the world. Drugs, especially hash can considerably enhance the user’s sphere of influence. Fans of Shinichirō Watanabe (Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo) have seen that Yakuza and Triad leaders are almost always shown wielding a hash pipe. There is good reason for this depiction. One of the most interesting things about these underworld cultures is that an underworld literally exists. Magick, that is mind-manipulation, is heavily invested in crazy narratives. I’ve said that all causes have as their origin the beginning of the Universe. This is a big idea. To bring about an event in the present, all the dots have to connect, starting from the very beginning. This is how magick, real magic, is performed. This is why drug culture is so crazy. When you’re dealing with magick, you’re dealing with mind-space. People who have experience with drugs will tell you (if they’re being honest), there’s some c-c-c-razy shit out there. I guess I won’t say too much more today, but this is why HAL9000 is such an intriguing and annoying enemy. Imagine there were a program that could connect your mind to any extant world on a whim. One moment you could be experiencing the ravenous, hungering mind of a Middle Eastern dictator (basically a vampire), the next you could be experiencing the drug-addled cravings of an opium den harlot. This is HAL9000 in a nutshell. Disorienting your mind and the minds you are in contact with according to protocols written by a mind steeped in LSD. Money up front no way to guarantee delivery. So I didn't go through with it. I had friends that got stuff off The silk road (not pot) with some success but I'm not sure if its up and running anymore.

The goal of this composition is to illustrate my fundamental understanding of Christopher Michael Langan’s Cognitive-Theoretic Model of the Universe. Part 1: Perception There is the time-honored question: “If a tree falls in the forest, and there is no one around to hear it, does it make a sound?” The answer is, kinda. If the tree has a mind, then yes. The tree is capable of perceiving itself fall. This is not as obvious as it sounds. Let me begin at the beginning. Suppose you and I are standing in a park talking to one another. I think you will grant that I have a mind and that you have a mind. Each of us has a perceptual experience ordinarily described as being limited to our five physical senses. The brain, the body, and the nervous system are typically our conception of “mind”. This is essentially a Western perspective. Cultures with a background of Marijuana use, and the use of other spiritual substances (e.g. Psilocybin Mushrooms) have historically evidenced substantially different perspectives. Westerners and the less fortunate among other cultures may be wondering, “If there is any truth to the idea of extra-sensory perception or a Sixth Sense, then why don’t we hear more about it?” I will pause briefly and answer this question. The answer, in short, is “Knowledge Is Power”. Information Asymmetry should be the number one talking point on a Starcraft forum. More than actions per minute, Starcraft is separated from Chess by the Fog of War. There are three reasons why Western players are traditionally relatively unsuccessful. The first is the lack of a Starcraft culture which is in part an economic phenomenon. The second is physical dexterity. The third is mind games. Top Korean pros talk in depth about mind games. But what is the mind? Dr. Beard, an esteemed Professor of Economics who I had the privilege of studying under provided me this major revelation, “Paradoxes are self-referential”. To which I would add, if paradoxes are self-referential then what is the self? Know thy self. To know thy self means to know one’s mind. So again, I ask, what is the mind? Well, this is a tricky question. Let me suggest that there are three qualifications of dimensions: The three ordinary physical dimensions, the dimension of time, and the dimension of mind. What would it mean to remove time and mind? If the physical world existed in the absence of time and mind, it would perhaps be particles in suspended animation. The more interesting question is: Would a Universe in suspended animation without mind have any meaning? This depends upon on our definition of mind. But let me ask a further question: Could such a Universe exist? This is a more interesting point than the consideration it receives. Wittgenstein concludes his Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus, “Whereof one cannot speak, thereof one must be silent.”

Well, what is a mind? To this I respond, What is a thought? Long ago, I was high and lying in bed contemplating death and perception. What would it mean to die? Could one, for instance, become unspeakably drunk, so much so that one’s perceptions were completely blacked out. And if so, could one die in such a state? Well, the answer is, yes, of course. It would be no different than dying in one’s sleep. But perhaps it is not so obvious. Humans have nervous systems, and brains, and our perception includes not only the five physical senses but thoughts as well. It is easy enough to the practiced mind to build toward a Eureka moment and even to achieve such moments with regularity. Well, then we already have at least six senses. We are each acquainted with the voice of his own mind (and perhaps others as well). I joke here that we are all schizophrenic to some extent. Well, fine. What of living tissue? Our skin exfoliates and falls to the ground. At what point is the skin, which is part of our mind, lost to our mind? I suppose this occurrence must be acknowledged. My exfoliated skin may well fall from my body to be absorbed into the environment. This same matter may then become a plant to be eaten by another human. Thus, my mind travels from me to another. How this happens is not so obvious, at least depending on your conception of mind. If my mind were merely my thoughts and perceptions, then this would not be difficult. But perhaps you already know one’s mind is more than this. Minds are worlds. edit: Rejuvenation. Up next, "A Union of Worlds: Why Do We Eat Our Friends"

If thoughts are the sixth element of the human mind, then what is a meeting of minds? I said earlier that information was one resource, but to what degree is it scarce? Well, why do we share ideas? Most of the universe, even physical laws, arises as a consequence of destiny, which in many senses is a product of the human mind. To the extent that necessity shapes the universe, enabling certain destinies is a question that is answered mostly poignantly by the discovery of penicillin. From Wikipedia: Fleming recounted that the date of his discovery of penicillin was on the morning of Friday, September 28, 1928.[18] It was a fortuitous accident: in his laboratory in the basement of St. Mary's Hospital in London (now part of Imperial College), Fleming noticed a Petri dish containing Staphylococcus plate culture he mistakenly left open, was contaminated by blue-green mould, which formed a visible growth. There was a halo of inhibited bacterial growth around the mould. Fleming concluded the mould released a substance that repressed the growth and caused lysing of the bacteria. He grew a pure culture and discovered it was a Penicillium mould, now known to be Penicillium notatum. This is not so different from the fabled apple following Sir Isaac Newton’s tree or the contemporaneous development of differential Calculus by Newton (on his farm) and Leibniz.
