Here we go again:
One dead after shootout at Danish meeting with controversial artist Vilks(Reuters) - One civilian was killed and three police were wounded on Saturday in shooting at a public meeting in the Danish capital Copenhagen attended by the controversial Swedish artist Lars Vilks, police and the Danish Ritzau news agency reported. Danish police confirmed one civilian had been killed in a shooting and said the suspects had fled in a car.Ritzau said both Vilks and the French ambassador, who was also attending, were both unharmed, but that three police had been wounded. The gathering was billed as a debate on art and blasphemy. ..... Vilks stirred controversy in 2007 with published drawings depicting Mohammad as a dog which sparked threats from Islamist militant groups. He has received numerous death threats and has lived under constant protection by the Swedish police since 2010. Two years ago, an American woman who called herself Jihad Jane was sentenced to 10 years in prison for plotting to kill him. ..... Source
RIP and a speedy recovery to the wounded...

My condolences to the civilian killed and the police wounded. This matter has clearly not tapered off and will continue to be a thorn in the side of European press and media.

There'll also be an official press briefing from the police at 1900 CET.
According to the tweet (whoever's Danish here can probably translate better) the shooter/s didn't get very far. The getaway vehicle was found just three km away from the shootings.

Rough translation: "Looking for witnesses. The gateaway car, a black VW Polo, is found at Borgervænget 25 at Østerbro. Call 114."
|
Rumours say 2 shooters, police not able to confirm/deny but the spokesperson did use a plural form when talking about them. A manhunt is currently undergoing in Copenhagen.
|
rip to the victim, i hope the police find the shooter them as soon as possible

PET (Danish Intelligence) says everything points to it being a terrorist attack.

just waiting for the politicians to call it a random act of street violence

It is officially listed as terror.
More interestingly; is the world overreacting? The danish military is ready if needed.. with airplanes/helicopters (Only ones that own helicopters in denmark..) Swedish "efterretningstjeneste" (Swedish FBI) is on the case.. And full cooperation from German police whereever needed.

Well Denmark is relatively small country and with the open borders they could be in sweden in 30 minutes or in germany in 3 hours.

Trains going from Denmark to Sweden, to Germany and in the area were shut down before the terrorist would've time to get out of the country.

Wow, again? These types of shootings are incredibly tragic... I hope they catch the criminals quickly and that there isn't any further violence.

I don't think these extremists are going to stop until Vilks is dead. Or until they're all dead, whatever comes first.

Wont be long until the west will follow japan in their strict mulsim laws, just a matter of time imo. These infidels are destroying any solid foundation their was or will ever be for their religion to flourish in the west, fucking stupid radicalists copying pig behaviour. Resistance in the west against islam is growing with each attack or protest and even I, who was/am leftwing oriented, have doubts. Maybe the prosperity we had in the west last decades have made us too soft and weak.

Here we go again. Try checking Malmo for the suspect.

I was thinking the same. Getting to Malmö is both faster and easier than getting to Germany, though I suppose it might be possible that the shooter/s could attempt to hide in the countryside (or even remain in Copenhagen, however inadvisable that would be). Doubt the guy/s will get far, though.

If a dutch site is correct: - muslims can not get japanese citizenship or get a permit to live permanently in japan; - You may not spread islam in japan; - They dont teach arabic or other islamic languages in schools and universities; - You cant import a koran that is written in arabic; - The only muslims that live in japan are workers from foreign companies; - Most companies refuse to hire muslims; - Japanese governments opinion about islam is that its to fundamentilistic in this era of globalization and they are to stubborn to change when the world around them is changing; - When a japanese woman marries a muslim she will be treated as an outcast; - According to the prof. Komico Yagi (University of Tokyo): "Japan and its citizens are convinced that islam is a very narrow minded religion and they seem to think it doesnt fit in their society and they act accordingly to that belief".
TLDR: You can be a muslim in japan but the people and the state will treat you differently. The sentiment isnt that different from the west, but the japanese actually made laws to prevent (radical) islamgrowth among the populus of japan. I think its pretty smart to secure your heritage and safety of your citizens over the freedom of spreading radical aggressive beliefs and/or religions.
