I realized that we have thousands of people on here from all over the world, of all kinds of backgrounds, but we all have something in common. No no, not our love of [the game you like], but our similar need to get somewhere in today's modern, soul-crushing, rat-race world. Do you have a job? Go to school? Need fast food on occasion? Well the request is simple: post your mode of transportation!
I'm a pretty big fan of cars, as I am a real American. I'm not impressed with your fictional Ferrari or Maybach. I want to see your Toyota Tercels, Subaru Brats, and obscure Renaults. And for those of us (not me) that are wildly successful in life, bring on your Land Cruisers, M3s, and unrestored Pintos. If you are too young and still get driven everywhere by your parents by all means tell us about whatever chariot of the road your mother bought.
But stopping here would be discriminatory. Lots of you out there live in the city, or in nations or areas where car ownership is not viable or practical. So show those bus passes, subway tickets, running shoes, mopeds, or snap a photo of that cab driver who could probably stand to work on his people skills just a little bit.
Please post photos of things you actually own or once owned. Don't post a photo of a Supra from The Fast and The Furious when you drive a Civic with mismatched body panels. I want the rainbow Civic! You are free to post photos of previous modes of transportation.
I shall begin. My current wheels belong to this 35-year old Toyota pickup. It's a long bed with a stick shift, gets pretty poor fuel economy, but cost me nothing and was well taken care of, all things considered. I absolutely love it and having a pickup has been incredibly useful. I got wing windows and a tachometer. THIS is luxury, people.

Still driving the Apricot Express! Eight years and almost 35,000km or so... In reality I drive it to practice once or twice a month, and the rest of the time it goes to the grocery store and back with the missus.

@mjd, my dad's boss (a dr) had one of those pickups (orange, no camper shell. Not sure of the year.) We borrowed it a few times - not bad for moving stuff around. His other car was a Porsche though - never did find a good enough reason to borrow it...

My dad used to drive one like this. I was too young back then to have a chance to drive it myself but i always thought it was a cool truck. I personally drive a 2002 Mazda .

My trusty Piaggio X8 250. Not the sexiest bike in the world, but a perfectly pragmatic everyday vehicle with lots of storage room, decent weather protection, pole position at every traffic light, sufficient power and no worries about finding or paying for a parking space in the city.

The old and the new:
actually both of them are 1996 but I have sacked the Skoda Felicia on the right (which had terminal corrosion) a couple of years ago for the luxurious Astra F 1.7 TDS on the left. Even though they come from the same time, the Astra has unbelievable levels of modern luxuries, such as airbags and power steering and cost me less than $1000 (+ roughly another $1000 to put it in shape, another couple of hundred for maintenance and another $900 for a new engine for the front vipers, that was a very, very sad story about Norwegian economy).
Astra is awesome in many ways, it goes 160 km/h easily (could go faster, but I don't consider that very safe) and has enormous trunk so that I can even sleep in it comfortably if I want to. The only discomfort comes from sitting in the back with very limited leg space, but that's not where I would ever sit After 260k kilometers it gets some small pains and aches - basically every "auxiliary" system is prone to some failure from time to time, while the engine itself is good as new (this is the somewhat rare model with the Isuzu engine, as opposed to the chronically unreliable Opel diesels from that period).
