I don't follow the scene right now but I trust TL choices for their rosters, I might watch pro Halo again to see them perform .

Namely: Commitment to 60fps, and their technical prowess showed in that with a stable performance from analysis of the gamescom build. Mobility, the new thruster abilities made a huge difference and added an great layer of skill ceiling. Weapon diversity, AR/Pistol start being viable? Unheard of since CE. Reduced aim assist: a change long overdue, let the player's skill shine. I hate when I see people like you who go around stating your opinions of halo as fact. Fact is bungies Halo games were popular and worked out of the box, 343s have not. Thrust pack doesn't raise any skill gap, it allows for people to make bad decisions and get away with it the same as sprint that's why we as the competitive halo community want sprint taken out and will live with thrust. They don't have split screen on h5 and they are releasing the game with no big team battle maps, they screwed up in halo 4 and the master chief collection launch was a failure and doomed the game before it had a chance to grow. Aim assist is the least of anybodies worries, there was heavy aim assist in Halo 1,2 and 3 and those games were by far the most successful. Weapon diversity is good as long as your automatic weapons that don't as much skill to use as your single fire weapon are toned down, right now 343 had the automatics so powerful from mid to short range even somewhat long you can melt an overshield. I get you're one of the sprint fanboys and all that but don't speak about skill gap when you are not a competitive player and don't have hands on experience with the latest build of H5. Thank you.

Most of the changes 343 has tried have made the competitive scene worse. Trying to make power weapons into drops, booster, buffing the AR, headboxes that are larger than they really should be; they all lower the skill needed to kill a good player. That's why none of these things should be in competitive game types when they get made.

There was next to no aim assist in Halo CE, then they added a decent amount more in Halo 2 and more still in Halo 3 (which suffered more due to latency and the lack of hitscan), then for Reach it became casual city where anyone could 5shot with the DMR or snipe like Snipedown.

I really want halo 5 to be a great game. I'm not too confident in 343 but who knows, maybe they get it right. Halo 1 also had less aim assist but quite a bit of bullet magnetism
