to do that go to start->run->type in "cmd" then in DOS type in "ipconfig -all" or "netstat -n"

Still not working sadly. Think it could be some sort of port issue if everyones accessing hamachi through the same one or something?

1. Host computer "other multiplayer -> tcp/ip -> host game", write down the IP before you hit "host game", its displayed right there. No need for netstat or ipconfig. 2. Client computers: "other multiplayer -> tcp/ip -> join game", use the IP from 1. You should probably be on the same Subnet tcp/ip wise. Any firewall, antivirus or similar not configured properly will of course kill D2 and almost every other game. P.S. Why are people suggesting Hamachi when they are _already_ on a LAN?

So yes, anything specific that we need to do involving port openings/forwardings, firewalls, and other non-obvious things are very much appreciated. Giving me step-by-step directions of something a 5 year old could figure out... not so helpful. So then, before anyone else gives us instructions on how to set up a game... here's what we've done. -We've tried the simple aspect of one person hosting, others joining that IP. -We've tried getting both subnet IP, and actual web IP. Neither work -We tried all getting into the same room in hamachi, and tried again with both those IPs, and the one hamachi assigns you. None worked What could we be missing?

Blizzard Battlenet This allows for -1- machine on the network to take advantage of Blizzard's BattleNet system for playing online games such as Diablo II and StarCraft. The 6112 port is needed in both TCP and UDP for StarCraft and Diablo II, and the 4000 port is needed for Diablo II. No other settings should be needed. IN TCP 4000 IN TCP 6112 IN UDP 6112

So, now we tried all disconnecting from our router, and hosting our own ad-hoc network, (wireless). Still totally unable to get any games working. Horridly frustrating.
