The test mode is ok~ish, but it doesn't tell me if the builds/ideas i have in mind do work in competetive too... ( i face that problem with every hero i haven't played yet) Was she on hero rotation lately? Or is there hope she comes back in?

I just got in so I'm not sure how it works but I can't choose Zagara individually but I get her from time to time when I use the random choice (her and Illidan in addition to the other ones)

I just found the official thread where is logged what heros are/were in rotation. Looks like every 3-4 weeks heroes reappear. Guess i wait till i spend my gold, and play a little bit random if my dailys are done

I always play her when I have to get the specialist daily. Shes fun and can really dominate lanes early on. Does decent single target damage, her ult is great in team fights. All around very fun to play and a solid pick imo. Gets squishy in the late game and you are easily sniped if you get too greedy while pushing down lanes and overextend. You can pick nydus worm to kinda prevent that but I usually favor maw over nydus.

I thought about nydus could be an option on cursed hollow or a general way to play a bit more objective based. But if it's not that good, good to hear she's viable for lane pressure.

You can auto select the free heroes that unlock at level 12 and 15 even if you aren't that level. Zagara and Illidan were the level 12 and 15 heroes last week. Im like "retreat, retreat go back they are there" they don't listen, they go, they die. Then im like "go back, they will go for you you are too far away from our base, hide or back or something", they don't listen to me, they stay there, they die. "Dont take the boss, they are close" Some listen, and back a little, some don't, they die withouth any chance of helping them because they are dps and they focused them super fast. This game i had one guy take the garden terror, and he just wasted it staying mid map killing minions (not even using the plants abilities), until he died because suppousedly he was "waiting for us",, while we were saying he should push while we were fighting with the other team that wanted to take their seeds and he said "the garden terror is only good with a 5 man push, dont do that while the terror is up blablabla" and im like, "no, actually split pushing with the garden terror is pretty good sometimes" and he says "no, just 5vs5, the plant is bad solo"...and i told him "well, it may be bad solo, but it still better than waste it". Why does new players never listen? I try to help and stay calm but sometimes its just hard. edit: now one even called me noob, after i told him that we hadn't lost yet when we said "GG" when the enemy first golem was a little stronger than ours on mines.

- I'm totally new to the MOBA games, never even tried dota or lol... Yeah sure, i played some dota back in 200x on war3 but... yeah. - I kinda figured out the basics and the goal of the game, but never tried multiplayer yet. So, is there something i should ABSOLUTLY know in general ? Or is there a good general begginer guide somewhere that will prevent me from beeing banned/insulted/disgusted of the game (I've reade a few but none really satisfied me) ? I'm not a gamer with a lot of time to invest, pretty casual here, but I like to understand the mechanics and the meta-game. Or should i just stop asking question and go play Uther, because Blackrock & roll theme ?! Thank you for your time

Between its damage and its polymorph, you should win any 5v5 fight with it. If they don't want to engage then you have the freedom to take towers, forts, keeps, and seeds. If there are still things to clean up on the map, you can either clean them up with the Terror or you can leave them for after the Terror is dead (at which time you've hopefully weakened / killed some of the enemy team with the Terror advantage you had so they can't contest your team). If you split push with it, you're likely to waste its effectiveness and get little done with the rest of your team against a properly split defense. This is very wrong. Split pushes with Horror are extreamly strong and often seen on the competetive games i watch at this map. Especially when a situation is described like the guy you were reffering to did: The other team is on the map and will fight 5v4 vs your team. Your plant will most likely be too late to prevent the terror to be taken down so it makes no sense at all going there. Instead it goes on the opposite side (top or bottom lane) and push so that it is very far away from the opponents team. With its' W and those pots not beeing destroyed it can hammer away all buildings insanely fast and will rather quickly get the fort. At the same time your opponents are being poked by your four teammates and will get delayed in doing what they wanted to do. Ofc your mates need to be careful to not get engaged; they really only want to poke. Now opponents will have to back to defent the plant. Then the four players walk to the opposite lane of where the plant is (where they're already close to) and are able to quickly take down another fort. So you get 2 forts in total, while if you wait with the plant and run around in the jungle to catch up with ur mates (smart opponents will try to just poke and run away from the plant as long as possible) and despretly search for a 5v5 fight you will only maybe get 2-3max kills (if your opponents arent totally shit) and maybe 1 fort until the time expires. Now getting 2 forts >>>> 1 fort and 2-3 kills a lot. Note tho that this is not possible in every situation. The opponents team needs to be kind of "out of position" either due to a misplay or being forced because of the objective or whatever. This happens rather frequently on this map especially with often one team being able to get a plant while the other one is still in the jungle gathering the seeds. This time window allows for terrifyng split pushes! Of course you cant do that when your opponents are close to their own base already and have good vision and didnt need to care about something else..

I tried it with Chrome closed and it actually worked without much lag at all, then I tried it with just the new tab page open and the lag came right back.

We've play about 150 games and still didn't really figure out what kind of team composition is the way to go. although it changes quite frequently, lately we've had our greatest successes with something like that:: 2x Assassin: Normally Falstad + Raynor/Valla 1x Warrior: Normally Chen 1x Support: Almost exclusively Brightwing 1x Specialist: Mostly Abathur, because of his synergy with Chen ... and if Abathur isn't played, he's normally replaced by a second supporter (Uther/Rehgar) Which in conclusion means: We're playing without a specialist quite often (and I'd even consider Abathur more of a supporter than a specialist in our composition). Is this somewhat similar to what... let's say "successful" players play or are we doing it wrong ( :-P ) or isn't there a standard "role distribution" established yet?

The meta until last patch was a two warrior, 2 DPs and one support on most maps, however it has shifted slightly to one warrior and two support or 3 dps. But really, if I were you I would just play whatever as long as it isn't something ridiculous like 4 supports one warrior
