Welcome, honorable denizens of the Nexus, to the Super Brawl. TeamLiquid is happy to present the first edition of the Super Brawl, our Heroes event with a $2,250 prize pool. This will run similar to our old TL Opens, an event designed for professionals and open teams alike. Get a chance to practice against the best!
This time around our event won't occur in a vacuum however, and as a part of the Road to Blizzcon community circuit a Top 8 finish will grant seeding points for the July North American Open and reward a finish here with a higher seed in next month's Road to Blizzcon event.
Registration until Saturday, Jun 27 4:00pm GMT (GMT+00:00) in Check-in starts Saturday, Jun 27 3:00pm GMT (GMT+00:00) in Check-in stops Saturday, Jun 27 4:00pm GMT (GMT+00:00) in Tournament begins on Saturday, Jun 27 4:05pm GMT (GMT+00:00)
Registration
Teams will register by having a Team Captain sign in using our tournament tool linked above. Because our tool is old it will ask you a thing like enter your StarCraft race, use that to remind yourself how great that game is and enter in anything because it won't apply to this. I may or may not have that changed in the next few days.
Teams may register up until 5 minutes before the tournament begins. That is, they may register until Saturday, Jun 27 4:00pm GMT (GMT+00:00). After that, team captains will be required to check-in to confirm that they will be attending. Check-in occurs between Saturday, Jun 27 3:00pm GMT (GMT+00:00) and Saturday, Jun 27 4:00pm GMT (GMT+00:00). Players must both sign up before check-in time and check-in within the 55 minute period to enter the tournament.
Players are encouraged to stream on their own channels up until the semifinals. We recommend and encourage a delay on these streams because of the possibility of stream cheating. We'll have SolidJake on our official stream through the event and for the semifinals and finals.

If I didn't start playing only a week ago I'd probably try this out. Hope everyone has fun.

Edit - and character code
Hi there, welcome!
The first question is answered in the OP. It does not affect anything in this tournament, it is just something that was left behind when using an old SC2 tournament sign up tool.
Regarding the second question, I assume it relates to the BNET user code?
check in is now open, you can check-in/register on this page. Actually I think if you go there while registered but not checked in it might give you an error but then you can go to info and check in.

Yeah I'd like to watch but WCS will win out over this
Im personally loving the casting and the tournament. I like open sign ups like this, if my friends wouldn't have been busy this weekend I would of signed up to get owned lol
Tournament had to be postponed due to server issues. Matches will resume tomorrow, lower bracket at noon EDT, then switch to upper bracket at 2 EDT. We'll edit the OP to reflect this.
Ok, I'm watching this complexity vs Cloud9 Maelstrom game and I am seeing so many over extension from both of the teams. If Complexity plays it safe they should win, but they always try to go ham and die.
We'll figure out hwo to reschedule later, the only day this week with no tournament they're playing in is Tuesday and that's big patch day. Sat is July 4th so it might be tricky!
