So I just finished a Quick Match game. Cursed Hollow. I was Sylvanas.
Pretty much from the beginning, my teammates were calling me all sorts of things - cancer, implying that I had bought Sylv with real money and had never played etc (I'm actually level 11 with her), and blamed every single one of their deaths on me.
I don't know if the in game chat will come up on the replay (please let me know if it doesn't work, I've never uploaded a replay before).

Now I'm no god at this game, by any means. I don't claim to be - that's why I play QM. But I thought I would put it out there - were they right to be constantly blaming me for their deaths? I did my best to fight with them, but often they would leap into a fight when a player down, not giving me a chance to group with them. When a teamfight did happen and they'd die, I'd back away to try and stay alive - they seemed to accuse me for this, something along the lines of "we all die, but you stay alive" - as if they want me to die with them? When they were all dead, they'd ping me endlessly as if wanting me to engage them 1v3 or 1v4. They seemed to believe I at half health could fight Tychus in Odin form and Raynor's Raiders - and that the fact I dared to back off for a well was indicative of my lack of skill.
I felt like the treatment I was getting throughout the game was more than a little unjust and it began to anger me - which is pretty uncommon, as I have thick skin (a necessity in these games). So when we ended up losing the game, I felt, if anything, satisfied.
However, I leave it open to the more experienced players here - was I in the wrong? Was their play of the standard they seemed to believe themselves to have? I accept that I should have been less focused on one lane in the beginning of the game, my reasoning being that if they had a hero fighting me the whole time, the teamfight would still be even over the tribute - and I'd soak more xp.
I also had some pretty poor Wailing Arrows throughout the game, which is a valid criticism. But I'd welcome anything else. And above all, I'd love to know if the attacks on me were justified.

IMO they were super dive-y and overextended almost from the start--- the first three or four kills were from valla/illidan/falstad. The only mistake you made was not immediately muting falstad when he asked if you could move. That was a dead-giveaway that anything he was going to say in game would be counter productive. People who are toxic like this are not trying to help you be a better player---they are just trying to make you feel bad//make themselves feel better. By muting them you save yourself a lot of emotional anguish and let both of you just focus on your respective games.
The other thing is that your team (and you) didn't chat very much about what to do in the FUTURE, and instead they just chatted about what they thought you should have done in the previous fight. Even then, they were not specific. At the end it became apparent that valla and illidan wanted to core rush, but I didn't see specific chats to that effect, so they just ended up dying over and over when the rest of the team didn't respond to pings and they just jumped in anyway. (Even if you mute the toxic players, the abathur could have relayed the plan to you--- so this isn't contrary to the muting advice)
Another thing is I think you could stand to use haunting wave more laterally. I find it to be a more effective escape if I cast it over blocking terrain instead of just straight down the lane towards my base.

...also, I think maybe they did't know that you have a Q attack you can use while moving? Someone unfamiliar with sylvanas mechanics *might* think you were just running around doing nothing during team fights.

I don't really like muting players as of course they can say important things that I need to learn/do - there were communications like 'go for boss' that we benefitted from. I think they muted me (the horror) towards the end, as they didn't say anything. The Abathur was pretty silent throughout the game so I don't think he could relay me anything - I think the Falstad/Valla/Illidan were a team of 3 but I'm not sure.
About haunted wave - I should try to be more inventive with my escapes (although it never really led me to die I don't think?) but I've had a couple of awkward situations where I've waved into a wall in an attempt to get over it, haha.

There was one death in center lane when illidan was chasing you that I think might have been avoided if you had haunted wave into the jungle instead of directly towards your base. That's the one where it occurred to me that you could use the skill a bit differently.

The enemy Tychus was doing failry well roaming early. Basically waited till someone used their escape to push in lol. So yeah I am happy I don't get people like this on my +10 level heroes, everyone was suicidal. They overextended soooooo freaking much against an Aba Tychus. Luckily that both sides had afk slugs. Sadly their afk slug snuck into a lane and soaked and slowly got the exp lead on their side. Oh wow that Raynor double Tychus lol.
Anyway its better to mute people like the Falstad, you may dislike it but as soon as they notice you muted them they give up and concentrate more on their play.
But one thing you should consider. If you take Range on 1. You should never do Merc camps alone, unless your whole team is dead for 50 seconds. Sylvanas doesn't deal enough damage to finish a Merc camp quickly, you will lose to much soak and your team will have a hard time. If you want to take Siege camps alone, you should take the extra damage against minions instead. Especially if you don't take a damage talent on 7. Pinging for help doesn't hurt. And if no one reacts, it is for you to decide if they mean: "do it we will care" or "no time to help soak" Again just something to consider, you might not lose mana or life doing them, but you lose alot of time. (a Jaina can burst them down tp home and is back faster then a Sylv)
You did choose rather good times when to do the sieges though.

Yeah, I pinged the camps most of the time I did them (I think) but I was very rarely helped. My reasoning was that it was more important to get the camp at the time rather than soaking a little bit more xp.
Gratifying to know that they were overextending and I wasn't (massively) in the wrong. It really ate away at me cause I had been playing all night and was thinking I was playing well.
