I wanted to share my series of Heroes of the Storm gameplay and commentary videos. I commentate as I play the game, and I try to offer insight into my decisions and the theory behind my plays. The purpose of the series is to illustrate some of the more advanced concepts of HotS. Background on me: I am life-long gamer, and my competitive and determined nature drew me to video games from a young age. My first Blizzard game was Starcraft which made me an immediate fan. I spent time in other MOBAs (DotA2, LoL, Smite, etc) and got exhausted by the same design concepts in every game. Then Blizzard introduced Heroes of the Storm, and I was hooked. I have been playing since early alpha and have been Rank 1 and Master League (HotSLogs) consistently.
I hope everyone enjoys and learns something, and I am happy to answer any questions. I also love feedback. So, let me know what you think.
Zagara free week is upon us, and I wanted to provide some tips and tricks to get the most out her.
1. Use and abuse Zagara's range. She's a very safe damage dealer, and her abilities are fire and forget (example: hydralisk). If envenomed spines is taken at level 4, then she has great ability range and auto attack range.
2. Emphasize positioning. Zagara does not have an escape built into her kit. She does get movement speed from creep, but I wouldn't qualify that as an escape. Positioning is important with her because if you get caught, you're generally going to die. Make sure to position behind your tanky characters.
3. Dominate the lane. Zagara is one of the best laners in HotS. Use the hydralisk to zone out the enemy and use roaches to push the wave. Additionally, make sure to keep creep tumors up and place them in areas where the enemy might gank you. Creep tumors are a great scouting tool.
The video contains more in-depth analysis of Zagara. I hope everyone enjoys!
Muradin is a really solid tank in the meta right now. Johanna and Leoric are clearly number 1 and 2 when it comes to tank ranking, but I believe Muradin is a solid 3rd option. His kit has a lot of CC, and he can fill the main tank role well.
Just put out a video on Stitches and his changes on the PTR. Big props to Blizzard for the changes. I think he's definitely viable again. Hopefully, these changes on the PTR will go through to the live server.
