Developer Comment: When looking at this Brawl, we really love the Bloodlust buff. By powering up the Players and the Dragon Knight so much, the poor Minions really struggled to provide much value during the Brawl. Im excited for Alexstrasza, I've been waiting for some Red Dragonflight action for what feels like an eternity. Ana seems good but I'll never be good at her, so I'm hoping I'll be able to add Alexstrasza to my roster of supports I can play.
|
they gonna half Ana Sleep dart Quest at some point, just so she becomes viable for the 90% of the games where your team screams "Pile on!"
Lili rework will be fun. Hey I am level 20 on Level 1 !

making it so it doesn't work on her ult seems like a bad tradeoff to me.

Haunted Mines
- Issuing a move order between levels will now have the player automatically use the entrance or exit that is the closest distance to their issued order
- Summoned Golem
- Attack speed is no longer reduced by Fort and Keep attacks
- Will no longer interrupts its attack mid-swing to cast Slam or Roots
- No longer stops to crush player created walls, but will now pass through them effortlessly
I'm interested to see how much power this adds to an early golem vs focusing on mercs and pushing.
The auto transition to the nearest entrance/exit between levels removes a huge annoyance of clicking to an entrance and then again once you enter or leave the mines.
That being said, it's not a very big patch. Most of the huge changes from Blizzcon are coming with the November 20th PTR.
|
Ult on Lili was only there to stall until you got enough orbs and level 20. And the extra range on ult helped in some situations too.
|
Alex's Cleansing Flame heroic can be used as a global. It can also be used as a semi-global, if the distance is not that big, where she uses her first couple of fireballs for travelling and still has another 3 left to use on heroes.
It's also worth noting that if you use Cleansing Flame while in Dragon form, Dragon form isn't cancelled, but its duration is paused during the heroic.
|
Li Li looks pretty good in these notes. Looking forward to trying her revised kit.
|
No idea why blizzart make tournaments with this game. It have lower player base then sc2. The matchamking is bad since relese. I drop from master 4000 in to platin rank 1 after 2 weeks.

Can someone explain where all the fucking flamestrike/pyroblast KT players come from? Like holy shit, 99% of KT players in my games go pyroblast. WHY????? What the fuck happened???????????????????????????
|
They decreased the cast time on Pyroblast a while back which improved it, but I don't see that many KT players in my games to notice one being picked heavily over the other.
Based on hotslogs stats Phoenix is picked 56.6% of the time, but Pyroblast has the slightly higher win rate at 52.7 across every skill level combined. At diamond/master Phoenix is picked 65.3% of the time, but Pyro has the higher win rate at 53.4% vs 51% for Phoenix. KT isn't a high pick rate hero at that level though.
|
As much as I prefer Phoenix over Pyro. Pyro is usually the better choice atm. A game where a single target control aoe, puts a healer or an enemy team in trouble is rare. And the Flamestrike one is simple too. I picked Kael I need to go for the greedy damage talents.
And when you see Kael on stream or youtube its always Pyro xD.
|
On a side note, what does everyone think of this Muradin build? https://www.heroesfire.com/hots/talent-calculator/muradin#kgAb I've been playing with it since Heavy Impact nerf and the damage it can do is stupid, paired with something like Falstad to spread damage with boomerang and giant killer and a Rehgar for cleanse and AH, you can wreck face vs comps that are built for sustain fights.
|
I like give em the axe more, then skull cracker. Especially if you aim for damage.
|
Alex seems very OP with her trait and underwhelming without. So prolly make sure to build her to have her trait up for every teamfight.
|
I value rewind higher than hardened shield - especially when going damage and avatar. It will obviously vary depending on the other characters on my team, but at least worth to consider imo. I very seldom happen to play muradin from behind at 20 though, so maybe in such a situation it makes more sense?
Regarding skullcracker Vs give em the axe: has anyone done the math? I personally like the mini-stuns which are surprisingly disruptive.
|
|
It now says team, thats so cute :D. Also 53% of team damage healed \o/. Was on Alex.

Checking player profiles in Draft
Apparently now you can just click directly on a player's name below the hexagon directly on the draft screen to see the profile of players. This works for players on either team. Before you could only see their profile if they talked in chat and there was no way to see an opponent's profile.

What the fuck happened??????????????????????????? Flamestrike is a really powerful build, as long as Kael'thas doesn't die.
The problem is the Level 1 talent where you have to land 20 Flamestrike hits and have all progress on the quest reset if you die. It means that you have to play perfectly until you land 20 Flamestrikes.
In my opinion Blizzard need to change Convection so that you only lose half your stacks or an arbitrary number like 5 or 10 stacks if you die. That would make maxing it out so much easier.

Correct. Easier and broken.

Haven't played much this couple of weeks, but could the uptick in Kael'thas (if there really is one) be a response to Alextrasza? Flamestrike can easily zone ppl off of Alextrasza's W, denying a big chunk of healing.

Every time I open a patch notes, I close my eyes and think about what has been feeling wrong in hero league lately. This time it was:
* Garrosh is still banned 90% of the time, which means any data with regard to him is so underrepresented that we can't draw conclusions on how good he is for amateur play. He probably needs major nerfs so people will stop banning him all the time, then gradual buffs over a long period of time to allow Bliz a chance to see where his sweet spot is. * Sonya is a little too good right now. She needs a talent rework to remove "must take" boring talents at 7, 16, and 20. * Kerrigan's fury of the swarm needs to be removed. It's stupid that she can have great waveclear, great mercing, great teamfight--- only at the expense of vaguely difficult mana management. One tricks shouldn't be able to do everything. * ETC might be too strong, but it might be the meta. He thrives in low damage environments. * Alexstrasza's healing circle really needs to have a tighter timing. There are so many ways to wreck teams when you know where they will be standing in 3 seconds. Maybe even have the circle invisible to the enemy team until a second before it goes off.
Needless to say, I didn't expect an across the board support nerf. I understand that at higher masters and pro play double support is a thing, but diamond and below it is not (only 6% of team comps are double support.) I pretty strongly disapprove of nerfing support utility. Hopefully even with these nerfs we'll still have a few who can go around mercing and waveclearing for the team in times of trouble. (though reghar was my go-to for this. Bliz really seems to have a love/hate relationship with our wolf.)
Support is at its worst when the needed skills are following your tank and spamming Q. It's at its best when you can accomplish some things on your own, make clutch saves with cleanse, or apply cc in a fight changing way. Hopefully these changes are a step in that direction rather than where we were a year+ ago.
