Wtf Yango, Bruiser Taric top clearly what Riot intended with Taric

leona was totally a support from the start wtf are you guys talking about they intentionally gave all her spells low scaling so she couldn't be played like AP ali at the time and she couldn't really be a bruiser. her passive was designed with the support role in mind the whole time

I don't think the modern support role even existed when taric was designed. Also buriser taric op :p

Smash has written tons of good guides maybe I should write a few when S3 comes. +1, I'm sure you'd be excellent at making guides.
thanks, I wrote the nasus guide but it needs updating and reformating but ill wait for S3 since it'll change everything anyway

Man, watching CLG fail so hard vs Pulse right now and it's all Locodoco's fault. Even HotshotGG is playing well now and jiji is laning better. Locodoco's carry mentality is baiting CLG into conga line suicide - solo Q style.

To be completely fair, those spotlights are really old. I see fiddlesticks being played top in the lee sin spotlight and no ADC support meta in the bot lane.
If we were to ask any riot employees what lane leona played as now, most would say she's best by far as a support.

Her design was that of a "tank" in similar vein to Alistar, Amumu and Malphite. When she was released, most people tried playing her in the jungle and top lane, and even AP carry before her really shining as a support. Even when people were experimenting with her as a support, she was thought of being very unorthodox (and pretty bad) because of her lack of disengage and lack of healing. IIRC, she only became popular after a certain tournament, probably one involving Fnatic's old nRated/YellOwStaR Leona/Corki lane.

Also, you have to realize that Riot has substantially changed "support" since Leona's introduction. Sustain lanes have been hit pretty hard and disengage champs like Janna have been hit hard (i.e. the knockup change on Q was bad for laning), so an all-int support like Leona is more viable than Riot could ever have imagined when she was released.
