In my WoW experience, I actually got some of my best ratings with friends who had similar schedules to me (read: lazy college students), and could adhere to a fairly intense schedule. We played something like 1-6 M,T, W, Th and 11-8 Sunday. Looking back, damn I can't believe I had that much time on my hands, but we flew through the rating system starting as noobs to 2200+ Later on, I joined up with some eheroes to try to get 2500, and we didn't do very well. All of us were skilled, but didn't have the cohesion or the schedules to pull it off.

WoW arena and League are very different, just given the longer game times (requiring more frequent team cohesion), map control and objective natures, and fewer abilities/cooldowns to keep track of in League. League is definitely more of a team game where a player will grow in skill much faster after committing to a team.

If someone has that kind of time to dedicate, but they aren't the rating you want yet, I'd advise letting them join. Wow that schedule is indeed intense, if we can get 5 people to do 50% of that consistently, I have no doubts we'd get to top 32

Some people would really love to participate in something like this, but just can't make the time commitments. Some have significant others, some have jobs, and I'm pretty sure most of us have an actual life. For example, I don't want to commit my Friday/Saturday nights because what if friends want to hang out all of a sudden? I'm sure many others feel the same way. As Fracus pointed out on his weekend availability, it really does depend for a lot of people. If you make it so we don't have to commit every single weekday, then more people can schedule around their other activities and perhaps be able to make it without feeling like they're essentially partaking in a part-time job. Hell, even my job allows me to work flexible hours. Don't get me wrong, I think that you're doing a great thing in organizing this, but it's just so hard for many of us to commit to those "insane" hours that you want to implement. Essentially it's becoming more and more of a job and less and less of a game.

ELO: ~1550 Roles: Jungle/Top/Support+AD id really love to see an EU team, ping just too bad on NA to play properly. also, been playing for a few months now and growing increasingly tired of solo q and the dimwits populating it. edit: i got massive amounts of time on my hands right now, basically been 24/7ing LoL for the past weeks and would love to get a more competitive experience out of it

My reflection: 1) I should never mid ever again. Games were too easy top and I was getting bored so I wanted to play mid (also shloober mained top so I was like why not) but my mid game is simply too weak. I should stick to one role and expand. 2) Since I don't have a huge champ pool, I end up having to pick my champion when it is my turn. Typically in a competitive environment, top lane gets picked last since it is so easily counterable. I feel that I don't have a solid "vs. anything" champ nor a "tricky" top champ. Jax, Singed and Nidalee which are obviously top. (Nidalee has no counter picks but she feels weak lategame). 2.5) I also feel that our botlane playing Sona so much and with our mid/jungle being non-tanky (except Amumu) our team is lacking in tankiness. This and point 2 makes me believe that I should perhaps play Mundo top (since I play Mundo jungle a LOT so I at least understand him to an extent) and also Mundo is easy to play, deceptive as a jungler, and no one knows how to play against him (and tanky). Another possibility is that I learn chogath (who can be mid or jungle). The thing is I have never played Cho'gath seriously before and it would be a new adventure. Tanky top champs are not hard to learn though, usually just farm and then teamfight. 3) In terms of my top Singed play, I have learned not to first pick Singed. He gets raped by many champions (Jarvan tonight) and I end up using TP to get back to lane instead of team play. It was just a difficult game in general and despite me not losing in farm, my presence was gone completely. 4) In terms of my top Jax play, I feel I do just fine as him. He's probably my best top champion and I'm glad. There were few minor issues such as not backing enough (and buying items or getting wards) when I kill the other champion. Or maybe item building issues such as me always buying bilgewater. Bilgewater slows trinity a lot, and I typically go doransx2 + bilgewater. Since this isn't solo queue and I don't need to snowball, perhaps 1 dorans, a vamp and then straight to trinity, or maybe experiment with stinger into trinity (2k gold cheaper than my current build path). 5) My Nidalee play, I felt was really really strong. Again Nidalee is really easy to lane and I just felt that team fighting is hard but since that was a easy game, analysis isn't necessary for this pick. Maybe I can play Nidalee for a "safe" FP top lane. I would like to hear my teammates analysis on my analysis please Always looking to improve.

I need to play more games with our mids. I was so used to playing with Bladeorade that I didn't adapt well to our more passive mids today. In general I tend to be good at furthering an advantage when ahead, but don't play as well when behind. Wave recorded our games at www.twitch.tv/waveofshadows I haven't watched them yet but will later.

Either way it's not that I don't play tanky junglers, it's more that we fell so far behind and I have to get oracles that I simply couldn't get tanky items in time.
